Rhode Island

Location

Can anyone help me?  I'm planning my wedding alone because my fiance is in Afghanistan.  He won't be home until a month before the wedding, so I need a little help.  I am planning a February 2011 wedding for around Rhode Island.  I don't know where to have it.  I would like it if there was a water view, but I'm not too picky.  I am not looking to be cheap, but something reasonable would be best.  From what I understand the wedding won't be as expensive as usual seeing as it's going to be in the winter.  Any suggestions on location? Thanks!!

How many people are you expecting?  Do you want to have a tented wedding?  Might be cold in February.  The Towers is pretty.  Indoors but on the water.

Atlantic beach club in Middletown is another option that is right on the water, but fairly reasonable in price...all the venues will be discounted because its the off season

I would suggest the Newport Hyatt. They have just under gone a 3omil renovation and the view is beautiful.

I would look into the Glen Manor house.  It is beautiful and the rates are more reasonable than some of the venues right in Newport.

In Narragansett, there is the cheap option (the north beach clubhouse) and the expensive option, the towers.  both are on the water with beautiful views.  I'm going with the clubhouse personally, but if I had the money, i'd probably go with the towers.

There's also the Village Inn in Narragansett. We're having ours at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown. It has a beautiful view of the bay, but is not right on the beach. Places in Newport also have great views and will be a lot cheaper in the winter...OceanCliff is nice.
