anyone getting married at Atlantic Beach Club?

Hi everyone! I'm new to the boards! Just got engaged last weekend and am searching for wedding venues. my fiance proposed on Easton's beach in Newport and we were talking about checking out the Atlantic Beach Club. Just wondering if you ladies had any input on the service, prices, location. Thanks!!

Hey!! Congratulations!  That's my venue... I personally think it is the best value in Newport!  I love the view from the ballroom, absolutely breathtaking, and the beach is available for amazing pictures. 

The people couldn't be easier/nicer to work with!  They are insanely flexible, and are willing to entertain just about any idea you have (they are letting me have a TV delivered and run cable to it for football)  As well as offer helpful advice!

The company also owns the 2 hotels across the street, so it is the obvious choice for room blocks. 

The website has a full breakdown of the pricing, that is the entire price.  No room fee, rentals fees, nothing.  It's awesome and the food is amazing.  We went to a wedding there 2 years ago and by far the best food I have had at any of the 9 weddings I have been to since hence why we picked it!!  If you book same year they offer a discount, I think also for friday/sunday.

I love the ABC! Great pick for a venue. I attended a wedding there a few years ago and loved, loved the food!

Did anyone get hotel blocks for a july wedding?  What were the rates?  Were they lenient with the 2 night minimum?

I got blocks for a September wedding, they aren't at all flexible on hotel blocks in Newport as far as I know, and the rates are not cheap at least $225 + (mine are 212 in september) 

Try hotels in Middletown (Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson's, Courtyard Marriott)  the rates are a little lower and they are only a few miles from the ABC
