Ceremony Songs for a Soloist

Hi there!

Does anyone have any good ideas for a wedding ceremony song to be sung by a soloist? We are getting married in a Lutheran Church (not quite as strict as Catholic) and the Music Director said we could choose any song we want from popular culture within reason. He suggested Shania Twain's: From this Moment - which I love - but I am just curious if anyone else has any other ideas? I would like to be a little different. . . .

Thank you!!

Re: Ceremony Songs for a Soloist

  • At what point of the ceremony are you looking for them to sing? While the guests are entering, while you are entering, when you are exciting, or a different point.

Our best man is a very good singer and is doing Ava Maria while we do our unity candle lighting

  • Our soloist sang 'When you say nothing at all' by Alison Kraus. He sang it while signed the marriage certificate and registry.
