Need help finding officiant!

I currently moved from FL to Austin, Tx. I am looking for a officiant to perform the ancient celtic/scottish tradition of hand fasting. I have found officiants that practice this but they all charge $300 and up. Are all officiants this expensive and should I even waste my time looking for one cheaper? Surprised

You way want to check with http://www.austinweddingchaplains.com/. I was looking for an officiant familiar with the Spanish ceremony rituals and I was able to find one through here. Just send an email to the contact email and let them know your needs. I paid my officiant $175 which was affordable! Good luck.

Larry Todd is pretty popular on here, but we booked Michael Boles.

We are probably going to get a friend to do it.

I emailed www.austinweddingofficiants.com on 2/28. I got a reply on 3/8 saying that they are forwarding my info to an available officiant, who will contact me. On 3/11, I replied asking for the information of the officiant so I could contact them, as I had not heard anything. Today is 4/12 and I am still waiting.

I didn't check out austinweddingchaplains, but don't waste your time with austinweddingofficiants.

Sarah De La Fuente is great.  She is with Austin Weddings Unlimited and is a dear friend of mine.  Here is her website:

    Hope that helps!
