where to host a ceremony/reception?

I live in San Marcos and my fiancee and I are trying to find a place that is near here with outdoor accomodations. We will have about 150-200 guests and we'd like to have the ceremony and the reception at the same place. If anyone knows of a good place that can accomodate that many and is really pretty and not a pretty penny...it would be appreciated!!

Star Hill Ranch, Mercury Hall and Texas Old Town are some of my faves for outdoor spaces with reception onsite as well.

is there a place south of austin? i know of texas old town...but we are trying to work on a budget....and our families are driving from houston and dallas...we want to avoid austin if at all possible.

Check into the Winfield Inn - its in Kyle. They haev awesome Sunday rates, and they have ceremony and reception facilities outside.

I got married at Le San Michele in Buda and it was amazing! Highly recommend!

has anyone ever heard of the fountains? in lockhart? i heard it was a good place. i had a friend have her reception there and she loved it. but i want my wedding/reception in the same place. it would make it a lot easier on my guests to do that.

Kali Kate in Buda ia a favorite venue of mine.  It is large enough to accomodate the size reception you are having and you can have the wedding there as well.  It is absolutely beautiful at night.
