Heritage Oaks clubhouse?

As anyone had their wedding here? How was it? Are you aloud to use outside caterers? I am thinking about booking this site for my ceremony/reception.

A member of my photographers family did.  I know because they have an huge wedding album of pictures as a sample. I said "how much is this book? and he said you don't really want to know"... and I didn't! Told them I wish that I had known about the place, before booking my venue - but it is not listed as a "tradiation" venue on any of the sites and I am planning my wedding from long distance. I am sure they would be happy to tell you about how the event went. I email them all the time - so believe me he won't mind  mark@jmarkphotography.com

We went to visit with Patricia and got a ton of great info. They will allow ANY vendors of ANY kind with no fees. They even have a closet with a few decor items like vases and square mirors they will let you use. It is $300 security deposit to book your date and if you serve alcohol it requires an additional $200 - all $500 will count towar your total balance due. Rates run $100/hr or $1000 for 12 hrs.
They provide all tables and chairs but you are responsible for set up and take down and a few of the tables and chairs have to be returned to their previous set up as the community holds different activities on different nights. With the ballroom rental you will get access to a childrens activity like room you can have the bridesmaids get dressed in, a front office/room with huge mirror for you to get dressed in and the billiard room serves as the guys dressing room.
There is a TV on the wall of one end of the ballroom that you can do a slideshow on and a granite bar for the bartender. They have a custome curtain they hand behind it to block view of the rest of the kitchen so your guests arent watching the caterers get ready.
Out side there is an area next to the pond that you can have ceremony. My fiance did not like that the neighborhood road ran behind that though. His concern was that a car could drive by during the ceremony. This was not a problem with me but for this reason Patricia was able to recommend a church in Round Rock that her daughter was married as well as a few other brides that have used the clubhouse. The church was $500 - I think it was the Texas Bapstist Childrens church???
Other than the ceremony set up that only my FI didn't like the only other drawback we noticed was there is no dimmer switch on the lights so you have to choose between the chandeliers or the running lights. Just something to me that could be easily upgraded to accomodate evening events. Also no fireworks - so no sparklers.
Patricia also runs a separate business called Simply Waitstaff and offers a number of helpful things at reasonable rates. None of her services are required to rent the clubhouse but she will offer them.

We are visiting Winfield Inn in Kyle on Sunday to debate a Sunday wedding there or the Clubhouse on a Saturday. But these are the 2 we are looking at.

Hope this novel of information helps!
