Bed Bath & Beyond return policy?

Does anyone know if the policy changed? as far as cash back returns?

I think it has...but it might have just been the one I went to. I tried to return a blender (double gift) and it wasn't the one that was scanned in to my registry so they would only give me store credit for it since I didn't have a receipt...I was under the impression they gave you cash back regardless...

ok so i just returned somethings yesterday and this is what went down. If the item was on my registry or i had a gift reciept for it i would get cash back. But if i did not have a recipt for it or it was not on my registry they just gave me store credit. I also believe they took 20% off because they did not know if the person used a coupon when the purchased the item so they automatically took off 20 % of the items i did not have a recipt for. hope this helps.

oh I would have to fight that...they shouldn't automatically take 20% off if there is no receipt...i buy stuff from there all the time without one of those coupons...that is BS!!

Which Bed Bath and Beyond did you go too?  It's weird some people say they only got gift cards back and others say they got offered either.....and I agree they shouldn't automatically take 20% off

If you ever receive anything not on your registery you can always add the item to your registry before you make returns/exchanges.

Yea but they looked up my registry and if it wasn't scanned in, they weren't giving cash back... i.e. - two blenders, one was taken off the registry correctly, one was not...they looked it up and knew by the UPC which one was and that was the only one I could return for cash.

Which Bed Bath and Beyonds did you go too?  I usually go to the one in Turnersville on Berlin Crosskeys Rd

I go to the one in Mount Laurel on Route 38...and actually...I JUST got back from there...and I had gift receipts for EVERYTHING I wanted to return and she tried to tell me they don't do cash back anymore for bridal returns. I then proceeded to tell her she was crazy if she thought I was taking $222 in store credit and I wanted to speak to a manager. Well they gave it to me without a fight, so it made me think that they are slowly trying to phase out the "cash back" thing that other brides have boasted about. Kind of sucks, so be careful and definitely make sure your family spreads the word for everyone to give gift receipts, because that will be your best bet for a hassle free return.
