Jersey Shore Reception Locations (Wildwood/Cape May area)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Jersey Shore reception for about 125 people?  I love Wildwood but there isn't too much to choose from in town, so any other shore point nearby would work too (Cape May, Avalon, etc.).  Any rec's or experience (good/bad)?  Thanks!

I just had my reception at the Sand Barrens Golf Club. Everything there was amazing and the room isn't your basic banquet room it's really cool how it's laid out. It's in Cape May Court House only about 15 mintes from Wildwood, we had everyone staying at the Bolero in Wildwood. GL!

Hi! I just had my reception at the Ocean City Yacht club and could not have been happier about my choice. we had about 110 people and it felt perfect, it could easily accomodate much more. the food was great, the staff was great and the price was right!! we saved a ton of money since ocean city is a dry town, we were able to bring in the liquor and save a fortune!!! hth

I did see the Alcott last week and fell in love with it right away!  Right now we are debating whether or not to do the shore wedding or closer to home (Gloucester County) to make it more convenient for people.Definitely let me know about your experiences with Alcott...not knowing anyone ever married there I don't know anything about the food, and good food is very important!!!

I just saw your wedding date...is it still 9/18/10?  Mine is the same day and we booked the Alcott back in January!  LOL very strange!

We are having our wedding at "Yacht Club of Stone Harbor" it is absolutely beautiful! The chef is amazing. I just don't like my planner but other than that I could not be happier. If you are getting married in September you better hurry up I booked my wedding 15 months in advance and I got the last Saturday they had in June. The shore books up so fast. Also if you have out of town guests its kind of a pain to block hotel rooms down there. Its so expensive and most will only let you book for two night minimums so that might sway your decision to move away from the shore. Although it might not be as bad in September as it is in June. HTH
