Having a friend ordained in NJ??? PLEASE HELP!

Hi everyone!  I have been thinking about officiants lately.  I don't belong to a church and neither does my fiance.  We kind of want a really relaxed, non-religious based ceremony.  I thought the perfect officiant would be one of our friends.  But in NJ I'm not exactly sure what is legal and what is not.  There are so many sites and I have been getting mixed info.Has anyone had a friend ordained or know anything about this? Thanks!

We got FI's brother ordained for our ceremony by the Universal Life Church. Your friend can be called Reverend, Minister, or Jedi Master lol. It's free to do the "ordaining" through them, but we paid $65 to get his necessary credentials that he needs to show various officials to actually perform the ceremony. It was very easy. Picking out the credentials we wanted to send him took longer than actually ordaining him.
