Hi everyone, Visiting from the N/C NJ board & was looking for some reviews/feedback on Brigantine as a summer rental spot. Thinking of renting a beach house this summer. What do you know of it? Recommend it?

    Friends of ours have had a house in Brigantine for several years now. They love it.Brigantine is a great location, too. It's the closest south NJ beach to the AC Expressway, and it's super close to the nightlife, restaurants, and shopping in Atlantic City.I'm also fairly certain that Brigantine is one of the last beaches that you can dirve a car onto and have bonfires. GL!

    It depends what you're looking for... relaxation or party time? Brigantine is a good beach spot, not too much traffic compared to other towns.  From what I know, its one of the quieter towns.  If you're looking to party every night, you'll be close to AC and Margate bars/clubs but will need a car/cab ride to get there.

    We're probably more looking for relaxing on our porch with margaritas and the grill... is AC a short cab ride away?

    You will find Brigantine is good for relaxing at your own place or at the beach.Brigantine is a very short cab ride to Borgata, Harrah's, Trump Marina and Showboat... then you just travel down the island to get to the Taj, Caesars, Trump Plaza, Tropicana, etc. which is still pretty short of a ride.

    You can actually see the AC skyline from the beaches in Brigantine... its soo close!! I love love love it there!! Perfect for the margaritas and chilling on the porch! :)

    I went to school at Stockton College and lived in Brigantine for 4 years and commuted.   The place is great and I miss it, however to vacation there you need to know some cons. the #1 being the green head flies when its hot, the beach is like green head fly heaven. and its horrible. When its cold mosquitoes come out and they are just as bad as the green heads.  And The island is very small so its VERY over populated.   There are some pros tho....its close to a great night life (2miles from Atlantic City) and  the beaches are very clean.  If you do go, you have to Eat at Laguna Grill for lunch/dinner and Aversa's bakery for breakfast!!
