I have a baby shower tomorrow, and that's it.  And I am ridiculously excited for that because H and I haven't had a weekend together alone in forever.  He was gone for a month, then the 2 weekend since he has been home we have had company, so we are thrilled for a weekend alone with nothing much to do.

As soon as I get off work at 6 pm I am driving 2 hours to see FI for the first time in 3 weeks tonight :) I can't wait! We are getting the guest room in the apartment ready for one of his friends that's living there for about a month or so before he gets deployed and for me to start moving my stuff down! I'm so excited!!

I tried to get up to NYC, but all the flights are cancelled.  My college roommate lost her father very suddenly yesterday, so I really want to be there for her, but it just isn't going to happen unfortunately.  I sent a big flower arrangement instead.  Just breaks my heart for her...

Instead, I'll be having a busy weekend here.  Dinner with former colleagues & friends tonight (they disappeared the whole summer while FI was gone, but now they want to double date - fine, okay), hanging out with a buddy tomorrow (and probably getting told what TO do and what NOT to do for our wedding as she just got married and is very opinionated), having one of FI's classmates & his girlfriend over for dinner tomorrow night, and then FI is hosting a law review BBQ on Sunday afternoon.  Phew!

Cal- sorry to hear about your friend's father :/ That was sweet that you tried to make the effort at least. I'm sure she appreciated it..

Ugh. FI and I just drove from California up through the Redwoods to Washington in one fell swoop. 18 hours later we arrive home at 5am this morning.. I feel hung over right now from lack of sleep -_-.

Today and tomorrow is wedding catch up day since we have been gone for a week and only have 4 weeks left until the wedding. Sunday we are going inner tubing on the east side of WA.. cannot WAIT for that!

DH was tagged in a pic of the med evac they sent him on when he got hurt and people I didn't even talk to in HS, let alone in college were sending me all kinds of messages. It made me mad because it seemed like they were doing just to say they were friends with a guy who got hurt over there and his gf. Maybe this belongs in the I judge post. Anyway, MIL is visiting so who knows what we will do. I have off work tomorrow and I just got paid so I really want to convince DH to drive down to the beach for the day. My plans will probably be foiled by something or someone though.

He's very cute, and I love the name Tank!  I kinda want a dog, but a small hypoallergenic one with hair rather than fur.  Like a maltese or a poodle mix.

Aww Tank is so cute!  I would love to get a lab, but not until we have a fenced in yard big enough.

Cal- our friends have two of those types of dogs... So tiny and cute Beach- we have a small yard but we are lucky that we have a dog park in our neighborhood. Hopefully a shepherd and lab can get each others energy out. It will probably be wrestle mania in my house! :-)

My heart beats for the Crimson Tide. The team sucked big ones last year, but I'm loyal in good seasons and bad.  I hate fake college football fans who like whichever team is on top that year.  I was born in Alabama and my dad taught at U of A.  I also generally cheer on Ole Miss, and Carolina.  And who ever is playing Auburn at the time.  Our neighbors across the street are "War Eagles" and we've both put our flags up for the season.  They brought us some zucchini bread, and I made them some apple cinnamon muffins and we ceased speaking until the holidays.<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

Haha, that's awesome. Sounds like my dad against some of our family that are Ole Miss fans. I'm a born and bred Mississippi State fan, so I know exactly what you mean about being loyal through good seasons and bad. The good ones are just way more fun!

We're battening down for Irene, supposedly. I'll probably hit the gym then do some wedding stuff, since time is ticking. Then a whole lot of nothing, which I'm so excited about--work and life have been overwhelmingly crazy lately, so I'm looking forward to it!

My sister's due date is this weekend, so I am hoping to be in the hospital meeting my niece :) Other than that, my FI and I are going on our last "date" since he starts his dental program monday. I am so excited for him! But I'm gonna miss him so much! He's gonna be a studying MONSTER! :) Also, he's taking me to the place where he proposed, so that will be nice to relive. We went to our pre marital counciling yesterday for the first time, so we are feeling extra lovey. Ok, I'm gonna stop being gross and in love now! Ha ha!

Daughter and her husband will be here Monday, so I will be getting things in order. I took the week off to spend as much time as I can with them before they leave. I dread driving through the big  metropolis to meet them half way, (his mom is driving them from her place half way and then I will drive them to mine)it could take 6 hours to get through that city one way and then have to do it again to come back. Initially I thought they were coming Sunday which still can be messy but his mom is having a pool party that day, so Monday it is. YUK, Yuk and double Yuk! Seeing them will be worth it though.

I am just afraid I will be stuck with a pit bull that I do NOT want. She's gentile and all and is a show dog along with being a therapy dog but I am not a fan of animals unless they have room to run, and sleep in a barnUndecided

    Sami & Mel- S.E.C lover here too! L.S.U.!  ♥♥♥♥

I am hoping to see the grandbaby too! She is almost ready to walk, she's standing by herself with out holding onto anything for a good 30 seconds and learned to almost climb up on the couch!

"Don't EVEN think about messin' with my grannie?!!" Look

    Miles of smiles

I'll be reading. My professors all assigned an insane amount of reading homework for this weekend so I have about 6 books I have to read 60+ pages in. One of the books is my favorite book of all time, though, so I can actually enjoy that one.

Tomorrow: work. Then my team from work is going hiking and cliff jumping.

Sunday: going to finalize paperwork for  FI's car, packing to move, and just spending time with him. Having 2 jobs is killing our us time
