Hahahahha. Oh boy. You'll have to let us know what she suggested!!

Even if I WANTED to take her likely bsc advice, she's never been engaged/married, no?

Engagement chicken! The whole concept of "getting" your BF to propose is so silly to me. I would hope one would want her BF to propose because WANTS to.

I don't understand it. I will forever ascribe to the 'He's just not that into you' camp in regards to women who think they need to trick their man into proposing.

Also, if you cannot outright talk to the man about getting married, that is a HUGE sign that you yourself are not ready to get married. Learn it. Live it. Love it.

(Now, where is my tv show and million $$$ endorsements?)

    Ditto Mutley & Lauren.

I never understood the tatic either. Every couple talks about marriage prior to being engaged (I hope) your BF is either yay or nay on the concept so why the trickery?

Everyhing I heard while watching was BSC. I did feel a little bad for one woman though. They have been together for 12 years and engaged for three and her FI has postponed the wedding date 3+ times. That sucks! But anyways, the ultimatum as a way was brought up (not for the couple I mentioned earlier though).

I am now watching the VS fashion show.

I dunnnnooo. There were quite a few girls in the "Did you know when he was going to propose" thread over on Just Engaged that said they haven't even discussed marriage. Blew my mind like the Santa Anas through So Cal.

Wow. I can't even imagine a marriage proposal without talking about marriage first! Sigh. To each their own? I guess.

    That thread is crazy.

If you want/need a good laugh I'd take a look. I couldn't imagine how things will turn out for those people who haven't talked about marriage at all prior to the proposel. They will DEF need some Premarital counceling.

I think that was a repeat. I saw it a while ago. I remember the girl who was engaged for so long. Damn. I thought I was having a long engagement at about 20 months.

I'm actually disappointed. I know for sure when I first read it that there were more responses than that and at least 3 or4 of them said they hadn't eve discussed marriage yet. It looks like they got deleted though.

I did manage to find this gem in a different thread though

[QUOTE]Hey! My ring was a total surprise...as in I didn't even know we had talked about getting married - we only said "I love you" about a week before hand - but then again we were very close friends for almost 4 years. I wanted something completely my own and now I have a gorgeous 2 carrot citrine flanked by a diamond on both sides. Unfortunately now we are getting closer to the wedding and I HATE wedding ring shopping with my fiance - he is so picky and ALL men's rings look the same - and of course, he doesn't like them.I say if he can pick your ring then you should be able to pick his wedding band!
