    In one word: wicked.

Myself and 15 friends went to my family's farmhouse (in the middle of the woods) and drank copious amounts of booze, ate too much yummy food, swam in lakes, rivers and waterfalls and really just had the most relaxing, wonderful weekend in a LONG time.

Sorry you're frazzled, Kat.:(  *hugs* Anything you need to get off your chest?

PS: I have a job interview in 1 hour.  EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK

I'm right there with you. The up side is that I looked at my relocation package, but they won't ship my explosives! What on earth am I going to do with my stockpile of fireworks?

I keed I keed. It was pretty funny though.

I want to hear ALL about YOUR weekend!!

Our weekend was a little busy.

The nursery is completely painted - trim, baseboard, EVERYTHING!  The crib, dresser and glider are all in place.  Plus the curtains are hung (but need to be washed and ironed... to be done after we move the w/d over last this week.)

The shower surround is 75% tiled.  And I love it.  We might be switching over to a pedestal sink.  There is a lot of storage already in the bathroom.  Plus it would be safer with little ones.

Plus we went out to dinner both nights.  I went to the pool several times.  We had lunch with the in-laws.  Yada, yada.

P.S. Before you ask, I will update with pictures when I go by there today.

Mutley - can't wait for pics!

Acro - details?? Looks like fun! You're adorable!

We got our license. : ) Siiiigh! If I could do Mutley's icons I would pick one with hearts floating out my ears. THat is a RELIEF!!! I'll PIP a funny pic of us later "swearing in".

We had a dinner with a bunch of my parents friends and played the newlywed game against my parents and Brian and I did hysterically well. We met with our Pastor and also the venue coordinator. Busy, no sleep, but successfull. Now I have tons of follow up to do! YIKES!

    Weekend went pretty good.
Friday we went to a wedding and between the wedding/reception, we drove to look at a house. I LOVED it but there isn't much acreage and it is right on a busy street- no bueno. The search continues.
I did nothing the rest of the weekend. FI worked so I chilled at home with the pup. He is starting to lose his baby teeth and at the moment he has only two big teeth on the top front. He almost  looks like a bunny...I loves him.

WR- I think I've found the earrings I want. I've had the idea in my head for sometime but never actually say it in person. Thoughts? Please note- I have nothing else wedding related. I figure these are pretty basic and will fit any style dress I look at.

My weekend was a whirlwind...5+ hour drive each way but it was worth it.

I went to a couples shower, basically a big bbq more engagement party style I suppose. Does anyone else do this? Cause it is relatively new to me. I was asked to be part of another wedding party. A birthday bonfire and family time in what was left of the weekend.

Went out for Mexican on Friday night.

Saturday I went to the water park with my MOH then went to a friends house on Saturday night and went out to the local festival days. Neglected to eat dinner, which then caused me to be fairly intoxicated, and therefore hungover Sunday.

Sunday was the first of 3 showers. It was nice and sunny and we were outside all day and drank rum punch. Yay!

Oh I love talking to solicitors. I got hung up on because this lovely solicitor didn't believe that I could be the maintenance supervisor. I'm kind of not really, we don't have any full time maintenance staff here and I am the one who calls out for maintenance and makes sure it gets done, so to me I am the supervisor. The thought that crossed my mind was, sexist much?

We were trying to be money conscious, so we spent the weekend at my parents' lakehouse in SC (parents not in attendance).

Everyone got there kinda late on Friday, so we stayed up talking for a bit then went to bed.  Saturday was spent lakeside getting some sun, and I went for a shower afterwards.  While I was showering my bridesmaids (and one good friend I had invited) set up a party in the main room with signs and penis balloons and penis cake, etc etc.  I got some lingerie (my Matron of Honor, who is dying for us to have kids, specifically referred to hers as "clothes to make a baby in" hahaha).  We played Pin the Junk on the Hunk, which ended up being hilarious because all the different pieces were, well, different.  Mine was a black and white striped penis with a ball and chain on it, BWAHAHAHA.  Looking back, I originally wasn't too stoked about all the penis nonsense, but since it mostly took place at the house and I didn't have to wear anything like that out to the restaurant or the bars, it wasn't so bad.

We all got dressed with our tiaras and necklaces and buttons, etc.  I had a tiara with a veil (see pic) and all the girls had pink tiaras on to match.  It was way cute.  We went out to dinner at my favorite restaurant, and then went barhopping in the town where I (and a couple of the other girls) went to college.  It was tons of fun and I had a blast.

FI's bachelor party was also on Saturday.  From what I've heard (and seen pictures of), they went go-karting, to Medieval Times for dinner, and then to Metalsome (live band karaoke specializing in 80s metal - FI sang "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Metallica).  The bar closes at 2, and apparently they didn't head home til almost 4...so they probably went somewhere afterwards, either to a strip club or to grab food.  I'll probably never know, and I'm ok with that.  I'm just glad FI had a lot of fun, because he was honestly a little worried.  The guys kept everything a secret from him and he knew NOTHING of what was going to happen.

ekath- I would personally wait on earrings. Depending on what dress you end up with you might want different earrings to balance out the neckline. However, I do think they are really pretty.Laughing

I agree. You never know what dress you're going to end up with, and the earrings may not mesh well. But I think they're gorgeous. Buy them anyway! Yes, I am a bad influence.

This weekend was good - much needed sleep!  Insomnia is a beast, but I managed to drug myself into a restful sleep on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday... last night was rough again, but I feel rested due to the other nights.

Bought myself a few new t-shirts and a dress, which are making me feel pretty.  Also got all my laundry done, which is definitely nice.  Now if only it would magically put itself away...

Spent all Sunday with BF - we went to a "block party" hosted by the city of Miami, then walked around.  It was super hot out, so we ended up going grocery shopping and bought a new Wii game.  Played board games and Wii all evening and prepped food for the week.  It really was an awesome day - it's rare I get a full day with him to myself with our busy schedules!

Weekend was alright.  Friday was a good time and then FI and I had a disagreement and my son was being a bit of a terror for a couple hours on Saturday. But all was better yesterday and we had a great day.  I felt sick in the car all day though and by the end of the night I was dizzy and nauseous.  I went to bed early and stayed in bed for 2 extra hours this morning and feel a little better, but not great.

    b-b-b-but they're so pretty!!!!

Actually, I doubt I'd wear them anywhere other than a wedding. That's why I've been debating on waiting to get them. I'm glad you ladies reassured me in waiting on them (well, kind ofTongue out). The link however will go into my wedding notebook and at least I'll know where to find them later.

Weekend was kind of well...blah. FI was sick as a dog all weekend, and I felt like crap too (no surprise there, right?). Ran some errands on Saturday, had people over for True Blood last night.

Ordered my BM dress for sister's wedding, and ordered her some butterfly hair clips for her to wear during the reception. Also finally shipped off her shower decor and paper goods to my mom. $48 in shipping. Christ on a crutch.

Attempted to get caught up in the lab, except that someone broke the f*ing scale so now I can't do anything (if the chemicals I use are off by even 0.1 gram, it completely changes the pot life of the resins I'm using - ie. my casts go to sh*t and I just wasted a complete perfusion setup and a bunch of NaOH).

kat - Hurrah for the license!!! :)

acro - Glad you had so much fun! I'm with you on the aversion to peni-wearing in public. Hence why there were no peni in sight at ricky's bach party - payback's a bitch, right? lol

I had a fantastic weekend!  I went to Ohio with my BF to visit his sister and go to her house-warming party.  We got there around 10pm on Friday night and his sister was babysitting, so we went to get dinner at a cafe/bar that was down the street.  We ordered drinks before we got food, and since we drove through dinner, we got a little tipsy and had such a fun dinner.  We spend Saturday at a pool with his sister and her friend and just talked away the day (and got super tan! I love sunscreen..kept the burns away!)  Saturday night was the house-warming party and we mad some fabulous sangria for the occasion.  Delish!  Her friends were a lot of fun and we really enjoyed ourselves.

    It was a great weekend!!

We're waiting to get all of our ducks in a row before we start doing anything BIG. I would like to have a job with health benefits beforehand. FI can get them through his work but I think we'd have a better policy through mine. I'm hoping I'll get this job in my department. The girl is relocating next month and I have already been approached about replacing her and have done some training but there has been nothing official (interview, vacancy posting, etc) in regards to the position yet.

If I do, we're looking at September 2011 (PAIGE!!!!) or sooner if we do a DW in Jamaica.

    Acro you look adorable :)

Mytley I can't wait to see pics of it all !

Weekend was rather slow , and I am completely okay with that. Work Saturday was dead for the most part and relaxing , so that was a nice change. Came home and FI and I watched " A League of Their Own" On demand , and he played Final Fantasy 7 all night while I watched. It was fun :)

Sunday I was off work , so we went out to breakfast at this local mom and pop restaurant. Afterwards we went and looked around Michaels for some dfifferent ideas for BM gifts - still undecided - I want to make something myself but need something fairly inexpensive. Finished the few centerpieces we will have and they are all tucked away safe now !
We watched tv the rest of the night and made root beer floats..yum!
