    LOL. I can walk past a woman and switch to her cycle. And I'm on the pill. Freakin' crazy. Stay away from me, woman!

    Isn't that insane? I wonder what the scientific reason is? I know it's biological stuff, but WHY? What was the original purpose? Hmmm....

    Haha...thats hilarious. My best friend and I hang out like 24/7 but our cycles never matched its kinda weird but a good thing because if we were both crazy hormornal at the same time things would be crazy.

    The biological (or.. evolutionary..) theory, is that in more primative times, it was more beneficial for the women to all be fertile at the same time.  That way, none of them would be at a disadvantage when the males were choosing their mate to spread their seed.

    ETA: The way it happens is that women give off more pheramones before their period.  Those are the same hormones that turn on the subconcious sex drives in the opposite sex.  When the women smell the pheramones of other women, they start giving off their own in order to compete. That causes their hormonal cycles to synchronize because it speeds up the times of fertility.
