Honestly because I always seem to find a post long after it's dead. I miss the good stuff. I'll start coming out more often. I also don't want to be the answer to #4 up there. It's a lot of pressure lol

I lurk here from time to time, and this is my first post on the Knot. All of the begging is making me post. I am not engaged, but I am always looking at the bump/knot. I have a 10 month old little girl and I am waitting (trying to be good) to get engaged. We were high school sweethearts, broke up for college, and got back together after college. I am a teacher so I don't get much time to bump/or look at the knot.... gotta pay attention to the kiddies : p I enjoy reading the maids&moms and etiquette. I have been to over 17 wedding and have been in 2. How many of you ladies are still waiting for your men to pop the big question?

I got rid of my furbaby when he bit me time and time again. He started going after the baby and that was the end of the dog : (

some days I'd like to get rid of our furbaby. We let my oldest daughter pick out a dog for her last birthday. Epic fail... I pictured a lab or something like that, she picked out a bichon/poodle mix who apparently loves shoes.

Welcome Emilie! Sorry to hear about your dog. I can imagine the fear with a baby in the house. We used to have a dog that I was worried would bite my kids once I had some and took them to my parents. He was a good dog but we think he had some mental issues and I was afraid if a small child played with him like kids do, he would have bit them. He passed last year so I don't have to worry about it anymore. I'd trust my parents new dog to babysit, he's very good with kids.

I'm from Boston and have never been to a Red Sox game
2. Why do you lurk and not post?
I come here after I get out of work so I'm late to all the good stuff. By the time I see stuff everyone else has already posted and someone has usually said the same exact thing I would.
3. Favorite poster?
Umm I love you all! Everyone is so wise. Shoes is so funny and blunt though so she might be my fav if I HAD to pick
4. Least favorite poster?
None?
5. Pets? Harry Potter? Potatoes? Wine?
I live with 2 kitties. One is my aunt's and we adopted the other together but she's really no one's cat in particular.  I love them both even though I'm allergic!
Never read/watched Harry Potter, only version of potatoes I eat are french fries and I don't drink wine <<I know these last 3 will probably make me pretty unpopular

Uhm...I know most of the homeless people in this city by name, and am regularly met with them yelling "HELOOOOOOOO" at me in Boston Common.

It's easier. Also, I worry I won't remember to consistently check for responses, so I'll be that annoying post-and-run person.

Not sure! I read this forum lots, but I guess I don't really look at anyone's name.

One very spoiled cat named Yorick. We're considering a 2nd furbaby, but I want a dog and he wants a cat, so we might not be getting anything until we can agree on something.

Not a huge HP fan, but BF is--we even went to the exhibit at the Museum of Science in Cambridge just so we could see props from the movie.

Favorite potato-mashed, with lots of toppings on it, or baked with lots of toppings, or hash browns (I potatoes).

Wine? Yes please. My favorite (and I hope you agree this counts) is champagne. I have two  bottles sitting in my fridge just in case a wino friend stops by (BF does not drink at all, and he really dislikes how I act after drinking a whole bottle on my own).
