...in Seattle. I'm here on business just in time for one of the biggest snowstorms in years. I was supposed to fly to another part of Washington this morning, but we cancelled that portion because that office shut down due to the weather. Instead, I was supposed to fly home this morning, but all runways at the airport are closed and my flight is cancelled.
Fortunately, I hadn't checked out of the hotel yet. Now I'm waiting on hold (for a loooong time) to try to rebook. But with this many cancelled flights, I think I'm in trouble.
I had a rental car, too, but they said the roads would be ice this morning, so I convinced the company to let me return it downtown instead of at the airport. So I drove super slowly in the snow to the rental office (involving one scary steep hill), and found the office was closed. I couldn't even make it up to the garage because of the snow on the ramp. So I parked next to the office and put the keys in the drop box for whenever they come back.
