Summary:  Crazy single girl decides she wants to get married on her grandparents' anniversary this year, so she plans her wedding and dates tons of guys hoping to find her groom.  She even sang a song on YouTube about wanting to get married.  And local vendors donated all sorts of stuff to her (presumably for publicity).  Now she's not getting married (big surprise) so she's donating the wedding, and making girls compete for it.

If I lived near her, I'd boycott all the vendors who were stupid enough to donate to her.

At least it's not going to waste.

She ought to give it all back. Then the vendors should auction it off or sell it, and donate the proceeds to charity. They were gonna give it away anyways, who is she to decide who gets it?

Since I heard about this I thought the chick was crazy but at least she's giving away everything to another couple that can use it.

Yeah she should actually give that back and the vendors can give a deserving couple the loot. The fact that she got all that for free and didn't have to compete for it, makes it stupid that others would have to.

    And yeah, so nuts...

I guess you can't blame a girl for trying. At least her grandparent's anniversary can be celebrated by another couple. She really ruined that date for herself. I wonder if a guy would want to date a girl who did something like that.

No, no, and NO. I'm pretty sure most men would run screaming for the hills. This SCREAMS desperate. Hasn't anyone told this chick that most of the time, you find the right person when you aren't looking?

She said she dated something like 80 guys, so apparently there were guys interested.
But I wonder how many actually liked her or were just in it for the possible 15 minutes of fame...

I remember thinking the whole "Project Husband" idea was crazy, but I think it's sweet that she's donating the wedding.

Edit:  Dallas is only 4 hours away from me.  I wonder if I should enter the dream wedding contest...

    They were either:
    a) insane
    b) in it for the minute fame
    c) in it for money
    d) super desperate themselves and seeking to get laid (see option a)
    e) all of the above

    Elle,

Definitely yes. The more free stuff you get, the more NEYers you can afford crashing the joint.

Pshhh.  If I were to win a free wedding, I would use my previously-budgeted funds to fly all of you bitches out there.

    Do it, Elle!

I just finally saw the video. Couldn't watch at work--no speakers.

This is just effing crazy. She's got wedding fever. How's a guy supposed to just get to know her and have fun, and do all the things that lead to thinking about an engagement, when she's starting right off with "I WANT TO GET MARRIED!"?!?!
