Party Host Gift?

I feel like a total PW lately but I'm really stumped on this.  My aunt (godmother) is throwing an engagement party for us at her house this Sunday.  She offered to have the party, she is paying for everything.  My mom, I'm sure, would have liked to be the one to do this but she just recently went back to school & cannot afford anything like that at all.  So they're doing it together, my mom did all the planning & my aunt is paying.

I would like to get something for my aunt & for my mom for hosting/planning the party for us but I'm completely stumped on what to give them especially as money is super tight right now.  I know it doesn't have to be anything expensive but I'm at a complete loss.

I thought of a massage but honestly, that's at least $100 for an hour around here & I cannot afford that right now especially for both of them.  Then I thought of a bottle of wine for my aunt but she really doesn't drink much anymore since she had her 3rd stroke earlier this year.

You gals are always so good at this sort of thing so I figured I'd see if you have any ideas.  Also, I don't know if it could be something I can order online considering the party is Saturday & I'm assuming I should bring the gifts with me that day, right?  Ahhh I don't have a clue what I'm doing.

Help?

What if you make up a little gift basket for them?  With either pampering products or gourmet foods?

You can find cheap baskets at the Dollar Tree and pampering products at Target.  For gourmet food items, World Market has a great selection of small items that are great for gift baskets.

Or maybe send them flowers the day after the party as a thank you?

    THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!

I think I'm going to do something exactly like that & put some of their favorite things in the baskets.

Liv, I'm going to make my own but I've already gotten some ideas from the baskets on that site which are making me so so hungry right now.  My mom's a "dipper" so I really like the idea of getting a nice bottle of olive oil and some packets of stuff you mix into it to dip bread in (if that makes sense).  I'm going to have to hold myself back from indulging in this stuff LOL

ETA: I totally just entered their giveaway. OMG pumpking <3

I love that you said your mom is a "dipper" :)  I totally sympathize with her - her basket sounds awesome!! :)

I'm sure you can also bring the hostess gifts around to your mom and aunt within the next few days too (at least, I've never SEEN a bride give the hostesses gifts at the event - anyone?)
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

<div>I'm a dipper too, oh man I love dips.  My family actually makes a "secret" dip: we take cream cheese, leave it out for a little so it softens & then mix pickle juice into it.  We call this....wait for it....... pickle dip!  I prefer to dip plain chips or pretzels into this special dip.  Someone better be making it for Saturday or I'ma go Bridezilla on them! -- I kid, I kid of course. Sort of.</div><div>
</div><div>I was thinking I would leave their baskets in the car until later when everyone else has left the party.  I would feel funny walking in with them.  Do you think that's ok? </div>

I think the baskets are a great idea.  And I think it's really thoughtful of you to think of giving them a gift.
