Tuesday Workout

It sounds like everyone is staying busy somehow.

Liv: I love feeling the burn! Washing my hair after a workout is horrible sometimes, but always makes me happy, lol.

Lauren: I'd say a dvd is always a good way to workout in hotel rooms and Jillian Michaels always talks about her workouts not requiring any equipment, and her dvds are only like $10. Usually you only need about a yoga mat sized area of space for stuff like that too. Or you could just walk the halls and stairs.

Yesterday I tried out the weight machine in the workout room again and did the elliptical. My legs are so sore from the Legs&Back I did the other day so I gave them a break from running. So now today my arms are sore and my abs are still sore too, in addition to my legs, but no pain, no gain, right?

What's everyone else planning for today?

I sucked yesterday -  I had a long day at work, didn't sleep well the night before - so I put down my computer to go to the gym....aaaaand laid my fat assss on the couch and almost fell asleep lol. SO I am going to the gym today after work, and I will probably lift weights with BF for a little bit - then see if I can't beat my 2000M in 25min time on the rowing machine, walk around the track a couple times - and that should be good for today. Unless BF decides to change the routine on me.....
  • I am currently sitting on my couch in my sports bra and shorts. I'm giving myself three more minutes to get my a$$ up and start one of the Insanity DVDs.

Haha, that is the worst time of the workout. Right before, when you're all ready to go, but you're trying to convince yourself to do it still, lol. You can do it!!! And you'll feel better afterwards!

Lol, I have done that before. Sleep always seems to win out over working out. It sounds like you have a good variety of things going on. I wish I could try a rowing machine. I don't think I've ever even seen one except on tv, lol. I'd also love to have one of those things where you support yourself with your arms and bring your knees up to your chest. I wonder if I could make something so I could do that. Good luck today! : )

  •  I ran 1.5 miles yesterday, just don't have the ambition to do it right now. Hopefully today is better and I can get in at least 2-4 and hopefully the weather holds up. Its supposed to be around 41 but they are calling for rain and sleet and hell no am I running in that.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I wouldn't run in sleet either. Rain is fine if it's warm, but at 41, that's not warm, lol.

Stina - cold rain is the WORST. I wouldn't mind 40 degree temps for a run though, as long as there was no wind!

Ely - I did it, and you're right, I do feel better. I have 32 days to the wedding, and my goal is to work out 24 of those days (which means for every six workouts, I have two rest days).

Irish - I felt the same way you did yesterday. I'm in a rut, I can feel it. I'm hoping to mix things up a little by starting to train for a triathlon, but still throwing in the Insanity workouts from time to time.

  • I am doing my class tonight. I did get to the gym Saturday too...but didn't do anything Sunday or yesterday. It felt good to relax and have the extra day off this week.
  • I'm proud of myself because I ran 4.2 miles yesterday (the length of the Pat's Run race we are signed up for in April).  AND I actually ran a full 2 miles straight before I took a 5 minute walking break, which is huge for me.  I've never been a runner and I used to give up after like .3 miles, so 2 whole miles is a lot.  Hopefully I can start building that up and actually run more often.  My calves are hating me for it today, but I still feel good that I did it.

I'm not sure if we'll go to the gym today or take a break, we both need to do laundry and start packing, so that may take prescedence today, but if we do go, I'll probably just walk on max incline and maybe do some abs.  I'm trying to avoid too much strength training this week because I don't want to be sore for Hawaii.

  • Tiger: Yay! I knew you'd get through it! Which one did you choose? I'm still deciding what I want to do.

Liv: It feels like someone injected lead into my thighs and buttox today. Sore muscles and heavy feeling. Not cool, but it means I did something, so I'm ok with it too, lol. Oh, btw, I ordered some of that mango stuff, but I ordered a generic brand, so I'm going to see if it it's comparable, lol. Just waiting for it to get here. How much is your daily dose?

Jem: Woohoo!! That is awesome!! Breaking new records with running is one of the reasons that I love it so much! That first few miles is always the hardest too, so now that you're past that, the rest is pie! : )

Allusive: Which class do you have? Is it one of those barre classes people talk about?

  • Just doing Fab Ab February spent too much time cooking and Im so tired

    Anniversary

  • Danser: I think time spent cooking is definitely a good way to not work out, lol. I didn't cook tonight at all unless you count deviled eggs.

I ended up just doing the elliptical and some abs and then tried to pull down the weight that FI does, but that was a bad idea because I may have just pulled another ab muscle. I need to stop doing that. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

  • I love my elliptical, I haven't been on it in almost a week now. I'm trying to keep fit, I have to be in a bathing suit in 3 weeks.

I made 2 different kind of pasta sauces, one was very yummy the other was ok. I plan to post them up to my blog hopefully tomorrow.

Well, you've been doing that Fab Ab workout for a while now so that will definitely be helping you stay fit. I wish I had an elliptical. I never really liked them until about a month ago, but now I think I may have to buy one some day, lol.

I'll have to check out your sauce recipes then!! : )
