Opinions on some boots?

So I have been looking at knee-high flat/low heel boots for a while. I'm looking to wear them as a daily thing, with jeans, leggings, etc. I have wide calves, so it makes it somewhat difficult, but I've managed to find a couple pairs, and I was hoping you fashion gurus could give me your opinions on them.

I love the brown ones because they are longer so may make your calves look smaller and slimmer too. Just my preference and I completely understand about the wide calf thing.

I agree with Tafft.  I hate my calves because they restrict me from ordering whatever boots I want, I always have to check the circumference.  I think the brown boots would look much more flattering than the slouchy style.  They're really really cute!! Where are they from??

I like the brown ones. My sister has the same problem with her calfs, and we have found that the brown style typically works a little better for whatever reason.

I like the look of the brown ones more. Plus they'll look awesome with jeans, I think.

LOVE the brown.

The black remind me of 1988 for some reason. The brown = fab.

I have calf issues as well. My favourite is the brown ones. Do you have a colour preference? Do the brown ones come in black too?

I feel like most women mention having large calves. I think the real issue here is too many boots have small calf spaces.

I have those boots too jen!  I got them last year, in the wine color.  LOVE THEM.

Sop- I think the brown is going to be the best look...  those types of boots are generally very flattering and slimming (giving you a streamlined look).  also, you can probably get away with dressing them up or dressing them down.  I think they are very cute!

And I agree that you can totally dress the brown ones up or down.

I vote brown too... I think you might be surprised and you would fit in those Steve Madden Intyce boots jenjen is wearing today. (they have a buckle at the top you can add holes to and make them bigger) Also, they come in a myriad of colors.

Thanks for the opinions ladies! I was leaning towards the brown ones too. Do you think I could get away with those ones if I were wearing black leggings too? I still get freaked out about the whole black with brown thing...

I found them on a site that sells only wide calf boots. I've never ordered from them before, but they have some brand-name stuff, so I guess they can't be terrible.

You can totally wear them with black leggings. I really like black and navy and black and brown when its down well. I'm sure it will look s great on you!
