what a beautiful stone!  it def looked sparkly in the vids, but i know what you mean about some of that being lost in the translation...i also really loved the cut.  Is that the exact stone you picked? what does your setting look like?

Thank you! I love the cushion cut. It's like a mix between a round brilliant and a princess! It is the stone I picked, I got it two Fridays ago, and I'm still in awe. My setting is a custom setting, that should be completed in the next 2 weeks. I'll AW it, if you want, haha. I've got to send my stone to them this week, and that makes me a sad panda.

ok not gonna lie, board lingo tripping me up, AW? i picked my stone last Friday too and i was sad to leave it cuz i loved it so much haha...the jeweler is mounting it this week, but BF is picking it up and i wont see it again until the proposal, damn! lol  although i do like that i havent seen two and two put together yet because it still leaves some mystery for me given that i was very involved in our shopping process.

AW- Attention whoreThe boyfriend says I'm not allowed to see the completed piece either, until he proposes. Rawr on them! He also says that if I'm really lucky he'll propose in the next 10 years. He says such hurtful things

Haha, thanks rachel. I guess I can look at it in the sense that we're just getting closer and closer to finishing the ring, even if I have to be parted from it for a little while.

okay, AW=attention whore, got it.  so in response to your earlier post, yes! AW away lol...so you said the mount is custom, did BF design it or you??  i'm not trying to pry btw i just love talking about the rings lol and i like to hear from people who were as involved in the ring process as i was with mine

I designed it. I took a bunch of ideas that I liked and threw them together into one ring. I was extremely involved in the process, but I don't mind the lack of surprise. He's terrible at making decisions when it comes to me, because he'd rather I just make the decision myself. So he was pretty happy that I designed it and he didn't have to pick anything out.

hahaha glad to kow u have a bf like mine, we basically sat down and decided id get more of what i wanted if i just picked it out myself lol.  he was all about going to get a ring and all that, he jsut got freaked about what kind of ring cuz he knows i have a definite style and probably had a good idea of what i wanted.

Haha, pretty much. My boyfriend was trying to be sneaky about it. He was pulling out $40-$60 about every 3 days from our joint checking account. So I talked to him about it, and we decided that it'd just be easier if I picked what I wanted and he wouldn't have to be all sneaky sneaky, and it was pretty funny how relieved he was about it. He can be all sneaky sneaky when it comes to the proposal.

yes i agree...BF is not too good with sneaky sneaky, im so much more cunning than he is and he was also so relieved when i took the reigns...like you said the proposal and in my case talking to my Dad are now his only responsibilites.
