Not Engaged Yet

It's a bit early...

But what're you guys gonna do for Halloween? Are you going dress up? If so, as what?I was thinking a party, and bar hopping. No idea on costume yet.

Oh, that's lame. I'm glad it's on a Saturday this year, so both my boyfriend and I will be free to be hung over the next day.

Panda! Long time, no see. How've you been lately? I haven't even thought about halloween yet, except to also be thankful that it's on a saturday.  My department has a party every year, and I think that this year FI might be in town that weekend.  We're trying to think of funny (and not gag inducing) ways to coordinate our costumes.

I've been pretty great. I was on vacation forever, and then just been kicking back until school starts up again. I've been lurking, but I haven't really felt the urge to post much. I finally hit 80 on my hunter! It's ridiculously quick to level now, with the PvP experience. It took me like 2-3 hours per level from 76 to 80. Anything crazy happen while I was gone? There's a party up here that has a costume contest and you can win up to $1000... so I'm trying to think of something awesome (and hot, apparently that's a category), but at the same time matchy matchy.

We are probably going to go to the renaissance festival but I'm not sure on costume yet - probably my pirate outfit since we're kinda broke and I don't have to buy anything for it

We're going to a concert.  It's FI's favorite band and they are playing right in our neighborhood for a change (I've traveled many many miles this summer to hear them).  We are probably going to do a group costume with some friends.  We've also talked about vikings.

Hopefully, we will be passing out candy at our new house.  :) It is a very family oriented neighborhood. Maybe we'll meet up with some friends downtown afterwards.  No clue on costumes.  Must get through buying the house and the wedding.  I cannot think about anything else right now without exploding.

i love doing group themes. last year my little sis and her friends were the characters from "clue" and their costumes were amazing, they made them from thrift store findings. i think i'm going to try to convince all of them to let MY friends borrow them this year. my sister was miss scarlet and her costume was so cute! lol. last year we went as a group of "70's rollerskaters". the pictures are hilarious. my bf actually work short pink shorts. to a bar.

never too early to plan your Halloween costume! The bf and I are going as Ned and Chuck from Pushing Daisies. I've already got an Etsy girl making me the costume. http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Pushing-Daisies-Cast-pushing-daisies-791482_1280_1024.jpg YAY!

BF and I and the parents of our godchildren (L and D) are all going to Orlando the week before Halloween for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  No dressing up for HHN, but for the Disney one we're going as Marvel X-Men characters, since Disney just bought Marvel.  We thought it'd be fun to have a group concept.  I'm going as Rogue, and D is going as Iceman.  BF and L have yet to decide on their costumes, but they have a month to decide. On actual Halloween, I'm going to be nerding it out at a LARP.  I'll most likely be working for the game, so god only knows what they'll have me dressed up as, but I usually play about 5-6 different characters in a weekend.  If, by some small chance, I'm not working for the game, I'll be playing my Fairy PC.

I love Halloween! I'm going to Cedar Point for their Halloweekend thing with my BF and a friend of mine and her BF and then my family has a party every year so I want to dress up as Raggedy Ann ... my BF is going to be Batman, lol, strange combo but it's fun : ). I also wanna check out a corn maze and a haunted house because I've never done either.

Acro, you might wanna double check about the adult costume policy. When I worked at Disneyland, I heard the policy was that children could dress up, but adults couldn't. I've also heard that adults can dress up, but not as any Disney characters as to not confuse the children. I don't really know which is the actual policy, but just to be safe you should call and ask. I wouldn't want you to get stopped at the gate.I think my boyfriend and I are gonna be lame and do a cheerleader/football player combo.

That's odd...everything I've seen encourages the adults to dress up with the kids. Maybe it's a Disneyland thing? We're going to Disney World. I don't see why it would be different, though. I'll double check. Thanks!

BF and I are going to his parents hallowen party. I'm planning on being Harley Quinn(not the jumpsuit costume, but her new one that she wears in the new batman game) and he is going to be Joker(the orig/one in the game. NOT the dark knight one.)

Acro, let me know what they say. I'm curious.MidniteRae- I thought about that combo too, but I'd feel wrong wearing her new costume. It's such an abomination, but it's pretty hot. I'd like to see pics of you two afterwards!

The WDW site says they encourage visitors of all ages to dress up, but I didn't look at the Disneyland site to see if it was different. It's definitely ok at the World though! :)

"MidniteRae- I thought about that combo too, but I'd feel wrong wearing her new costume. It's such an abomination, but it's pretty hot. I'd like to see pics of you two afterwards!" It is a little bit revealing, but I could always cover up the bra if i wanted(and probably will do..or something. I would feel weird with my bra and part of my chest hanging out with his parents and maybe mine around) and that sort of stuff. But it covers more than some of the other costumes I'm sure my BF would like me to wear. And I'll be sure to post pics( I think I may have to make the corset myself since I cant find one cheap enough that looks like it..they are like 200+ dollars.it's insane.)

Acro, thanks for looking that up, we're hitting the Halloween party at Disney on the 25th and we are sooooooooo dressing up...lol Originally, when BF and I thought we'd be engaged by now (original plan was summer engagement, but it's gotten put off a little bit due to issues with his job), we were planning on going as a black widow bride and a zombie groom. BF says we can still do that, regardless of our engagement status, but call me superstitious or silly, I feel weird about it. Currently toying with going as devils or as Sookie and Bill from True Blood. Wouldn't mind doing Princess Buttercup and Dread Pirate Roberts, if I could just figure out where to get inexpensive costumes for that.

I LOVE dressing up in costumes.I just got a bumblebee costume this weekend at a yard sale.Trying to convince the bf to be a bird (cheap laughs) and then he suggested being a flower so I could "pollenate him".Chances are I'll be a bumblebee and he'll be something macho... though i would die happy if i could see him dressed up as a flower, hahahahha.
