So, I was cleaning out our spare bedroom, which doubles as an office, because my mom is arriving on Saturday and will be here for a week!Well, do you know what I found on FI's desk?THE CAMERA CORD I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR FOR MONTHS!You know, the thing I NEED in order to show people pictures better than cell-phone quality??? Honestly, like how many fuzzy cell phone pics did I take trying to get just ONE clear shot that showed the side stones? My mom didn't even know it HAD side stones until a couple of weeks ago when I mentioned it. She was like "I didn't see any... I just thought it had a two-toned band."*facepalm*ON HIS DESK, seriously. lol

Did you help pick it out or was it a surprise?Umm, both. I helped him pick out a couple of things I liked... and I also picked out moissanite instead of diamond... but he disregarded everything except "yellow gold" and got this all on his own.I mean, I love it. I really love it. But it's just hilarious because after all the talking and planning and comparing... he threw it all out the window and went with something totally different. lolMy FI is one of a kind.

Well he has very good taste- it's beautiful.  There's no way my BF would ever pick anything like that out.  He means well, but he's clueless when it comes to shopping.  Although, now that I think about I love all the jewelry he's picked out for me.Anyway, congratulations!

The ring is lovely and suits your hand so well , late grats of course and i find it so funny how guys can be. We both play and met through World of Warcraft and when we moved into out new apartment together he misplaced his authenticator - basically its a little electronic device that generates a code so no one can "hack" your account online. Well he had plans to go to a football game with his dad that night and told me to look for it. So after turning the house upside down i notice all the stuff that was on his computer desk is on the entertainment center , so i picked up a game manual and there is was the whole time. Men , lol. Sorry had to share that and the ring is goregous.

Aww, thanks everybody! :)Acro, you wouldn't believe the crap he had--- receipts from 3 years ago, video game manuals for games he already traded in, MY paystubs (??), and I found the checkbook for his old bank account he had before we got a joint account.We JUST MOVED to this apartment in July. You'd think he would have gone through this trash instead of bringing it with him. O_o

We moved in our house August 2008.  When we went through FI's things (finally) in August 2009, we found receipts from the past 10 years, and his checkbook from highschool that still had his dad's name on it as well.  It's pathetic.  I mean, he unpacked all this crap and threw it on his desk without even looking at it to see if it was worth keeping.  Who *does* that?!And don't even get me started on his "treasures."  When he was younger his aunt used to take him for walks and they would find pieces of rope and netting and spanish moss and everything else and bring it back because they were his "treasures."  Randomly I'll find crap like this in the house, and he refuses to throw away his "treasures."  Kinda want to slap someone.
