Help me design a "Zen/Meditation" Room

Andrew has his office....and we have an extra bedroom that can be my "office." However- my office is going to look A LOT different.

I want a room in which I can read, lounge, meditate...and find peace and balance. When I'm feeling completely and totally overwhelmed- I want this to be a room that I can go to and find peace.

I was even thinking of painting some neat quotes/proverbs/messages/passages on the wall. In fact- I was even thinking of having other people paint stuff on the walls of this room during our open house. I think being surrounded by the love of others is a very neat thing.

So what do you think? How would YOU decorate this Meditation Room?
What sayings are some of your favorite?

I also have a Zen room (not like the Rocky Horror Zen room, but close enough), but I call it my Femmecave. We haven't painted anything in the house yet, but I'm planning to have dark brown walls to about 7/8ths of the way up then placing a border and painting the rest of the wall and the ceiling sky blue with clouds painted through it. Right now it's just beige and the walls are covered with scrolls, woodblock prints, bamboo temple signs and one railway map of Europe, haha. I have my shrine in there and a LoveSac to relax upon.

Love the fabric! Maybe you could have a pretty chandelier type deal in the middle of the room.

I think natural, soothing colors.  Also, big cushion-y pillows, some nice throws . . . lots of fabric.  I really like that photo with the draping fabric that you posted!!  Also include some candles & maybe incense but not too much since ome people don't like smells when they meditate.  Oh, and keep the candles away from all that lovely fabric!
I loooove that you have a room that can just be for relaxation.  I'm coming over!!

Love the fabric draping...I think earth tones...tans, greens, as well as touches of something a little bolder like a blue or orange/red-ish color would be great.  Throws and large pillows or cushions on the floor.

I want to come over to your house!

ETA: I love the idea of quotes proverbs etc on the wall...I'd steer clear of having others paint things only because painting words can be tricky and if it looked sloppy it would bother me, but maybe that's just me...I do like the sentiment behind the idea a lot though.
