Not Engaged Yet

Talk about rude!

Today I was talking to a friend of mine in class about graduation. She asked if BF and I were planning on getting engaged sometime soon since I was done with my undergrad. While I was answering her this random guy in my class interrupted me and asked me how old I was. I told him I was 21 and he went on this rant about how I shouldn't even be thinking about marriage and that I was just rushing towards a divorce. I didn't even know what to say! I just kind of stared at him. Who the hell does says like that to someone they barely know?!

Then this girl came and sat down next to me and asked if I thought the classroom smelled like weed. I told her that it kind of always smelled like weed and I guess she took that as an invitation to ask me if I smoke pot. I told her no and her response was "I figured as much. You look like someone who probably thinks it's against your religion". Ummm...Ok, I don't believe I've ever even talked to you before but whatever. It wasn't really rude just weird.

These conversations happened like 5 minutes apart. It was so bizarre. So did any of you have any WTF moments today?

    Wow.  That's bizarre.

I had a huge WTF moment today.  My boss had another employee tell me Tuesday that she needed me to work yesterday and my last day was being moved.  So, today when I went in (I told her I wasn't goin in yesterday) that I didn't appreciate the fact that she couldn't be bothered to talk to me about it herself, and that I found it unprofessional and inappropriate that she was involving other people in my schedule when she makes the schedule herself.  She basically came back and told me I was being irrational and how dare I suggest that she call someone on her day off (it was her daughter's birthday) because she didn't want to be bothered with anyone from the store.  Well, woman, when you became manager, you took on those responsibilities.  WTF is your problem?!

WTF? First, what is it to them? And two, people are just plain rude!

I haven't had any today, but I definitely had some yesterday. I had a roommate meeting and one of our roomies left the apartment slamming doors because she was so mad we wanted to sit down and talk. It was ridiculous

People are always so rude, it's annoying.  I don't get people sometimes.  Luckily I've avoided this today....

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Talk about rude! : Is this the roommate who's BF called you names? FWIW - I'm so glad I never have to deal with roommates ever again.  I will live in a tiny studio apartment before ever having to deal with sharing my space with someone I'm not either related to or sleeping with.

</div><div>Everything is WONDERFUL with the other two roomies... we laugh until we're crying everyday. We finally went to the front office to talk to the manager about the problems. Hopefully we can get them resolved some day.</div><div>

Ditto Yaga. I will do whatever it takes to avoid ever having a roommate again.

Not only is it rude, but fairly ignorant of these people to assume things about your relationship or set of morals without actually knowing you. I'm not surprised it was a guy who made the comment about you being too young to get married. Guys your age have the general mentality that they dont need to grow up for another 10 to 20 years. Obviously not all of them feel that way, but its a pretty widespread belief amound the early 20's male set. I think it's kind of funny that you "look" like someone who thinks smoking pot is against their religion. I wasn't aware that was a look :)

Yaga/Elle - AMEN sisters. The only roommate conversation I have to have is with the cat, which happens on a daily basis because he's a little bastard, but, regardless.

On topic - I can't stand when people don't know when to mind their own business. What happened to boundaries??
