Dear Roofers who are woking on my neighbor's house,
Please begin your day at 9am. I am on partial spring break (one of my three universities is off) and I get to sleep in today! It is hard to sleep in when you are throwing shingles into the dumpster starting at 7am. Thanks!

Aww, Ember! Tradesmen always start early - they have to so they can actually get everything done (said as the GF of a carpenter who starts work at 7am every morning). But I know it can be annoying.

Dear Stupid Kid in this Class,

You scowl at any student who comes in 5 minutes late, but it's perfectly OK for you to leave for 30 minutes at a time, or to walk across campus to get coffee in the middle of class. You're rude!

I know when the weather gets warmer, BF and his co-workers get up extra early to try and avoid the hot sun at noon a bit more AND get everything done. You couldn't pay me enough to do those jobs.

I know. It is just super annoying. And lately everyone in the neighborhood is getting new roofs put on. This roofing company is going around telling everyone to put a claim in that they had hail damage from a storm a few months back, so their insurance will pay for a new roof. Now everyone is doing it. It is super annoying. I guess I can't complain about the noise, it is a Tuesday. At least it's not a Saturday

Oh, and I was trying to figure out why kids were bouncing basketballs in the street at 7am this morning when I was still half asleep. LOL. Duh, it was the roofers.

A lot of trades don't work on Saturdays, which is a good thing. BF was doing a roof earlier this week - our washer and dryer are FULL of bits of shingles now. It's really bad.

This makes me grateful that I don't have to do BF's laundry, because he's always covered in tar ;)

</div><div>BF is a general carpenter, does residential stuff. It is rare to have a week where I don't pull an ear plug, some staples, nails, screws, and other bits out of the dryer. He doesn't roof that often, thank God, cause it is messy (although insulation can be just as bad).</div>

Ick. No, he does foundation waterproofing. So it's usually just tar and stones and whatnot. He usually ends up injured more than anything.

I think I'm one of those bad neighbours. I had my attic insulation topped up yesterday and they were there at 8 am and gone by 9 am, I was impressed. He said that in the summer they'll start at 5 am before the attics get too unberable.

Beads - I know trades people who have a second washing machine just for the work clothes because it kept messing up their regular machine.

I understand this from the other side. FI and I love to people watch, and we'll be at a restaraunt or something, and I'll go off about some communication theory and how it relates to the people we are watching. FI will just start nodding his head and stop talking because he has no clue what I'm talking about. I can recognize it now, so I'll stop and explain it.

But, he does the same thing with finance. I get this glossy, deer in the headlight look when he starts talking finance.

? What am I missing?

It just rained so why are you so dilegent in making my day a crazy mess?  There are no allergens and pollen in the air!!!  GIVE ME A BREAK!

Ember- we had the same problem on our street this summer, (due to the same storms, I'm guessing.) Every house, including ours, was being worked on, and because there were so many houses damaged, the roofers where working on Saturdays too! It was awful.

As for what's annoying me, its this stupid weather! I can live with snow and 20 degree temps, and I can deal with 50's (and low 60's), but it is grey cold damp days like this that I HATE!! I'm ready for some warm weather, esp since I am stuck at home for the moment. I want to go for a run, but its icky outside and I'm too lazy to go to the gym

I agree with the gray, cold dampness! I strongly dislike this type of weather. If you turn off the furnace, it becomes 20 degrees again and you freeze. If you leave on the furnace, it kicks on when it is 45-50 degrees and I feel like I'm wasting gas!

I'm annoyed with freshmen who seem to think that because I TA their lab, I automatically have divine knowledge of exactly what questions are going to be on their practicals.

My more reasonable annoyance is that it is 70 degrees outside and the school has the heat on in every building on campus.  BAH

I am annoyed that I have misplaced my student ID.  It is how I get into work.  Lame.

I would have been peeved if roofers woke me up!  I am glad I don't live in apartments anymore, they were working on stuff all the time.  At least you just have roofers to worry about for now! Once they are gone, all the ruckus will leave with them and you don't have to constantly be dreading what someone is gonna work on next.

I'm annoyed that fi is getting sick. He kept me up until 1:30 with his awful snoring. When I'd rub his back he'd quit but even that quit helping after awhile. His work forgot to take state taxes out from June-September last year so now he has to pay $800 in taxes. surprise!
