Christmas music

I work from home so I don't really listen to radio on the way to work and I don't get out much to hear it in stores, lol. But I do listen to Pandora and it's starting to seep in and I don't like it! It's barely November. I'm one of those people that likes about 2 weeks of Christmas music and that's it. Which side do you fit on?

We have a rule where I work, which is no Christmas music until December 1st. If it were up to me I'd do it a little sooner, but I'm ok with it :) I love Christmas!!

I'm surprised it is on your pandora though. . . what station?

I don't like Christmas music. At all. The only Christmas song that's allowed to be played is "Christmas in the Carribean" by Jimmy Buffett. Yup. In Maine. That's how we roll.

I like some Christmas music, but like a lot of things I want a gradual introduction. I'm ok if I hear a song every few days or so before Thanksgiving and then gradually increasing between then and Christmas, but I don't want Halloween to wrap up and then I'm completely inundated with Christmas music, KWIM?

I get annoyed if I hear Christmas music everywhere I go unless it's like a week or so before. I can handle a little bit at a time starting Thanksgiving.

I am listening to a country station that I put together, so every 6th song seems to be something Christmas related. I keep disliking them in hopes that they'll stop, lol.

I love Christmas music! I have a Michael Buble Christmas Pandora station, and I love to have it on while I'm at home working around the house. I try to turn it down or turn it to something else when DH is home, because he's not as into it as me. But after Thanksgiving, it's FAIR GAME.

I love Christmas music, but definitely not before Thanksgiving.

Macys & Target by me are both fully decorated already & last night we were running errands & people already have Christmas lights up on their houses. I can't hande that yet!!!

Ugh, can't handle too much Christmas music. I'll listen to a few things like Fairytale of New York by The Pogues or Oi to the World by The Vandals, but I'm just not super big on Christmas anything.

I love Christmas - everything about it. So yea, I am a big fan of Christmas music.

I voted for after Halloween, although I haven't started yet and probably won't for a couple weeks. I will start before Thanksgiving though, because it gets me in the mood for both holidays.

[QUOTE]I, too, work from home so I'm not super exposed to it all the time. I listen to Manheim Steamroller's instrumental music and that's it.

That's my favorite!!! It reminds of Christmas when I was a kid. My mom wore out her cassette haha.

I voted for After Halloween. I used to be very separate about my holidays, but now, as long as it's not before, I'm okay (though I did slip this year and listen to Christmas music last week). It's just hard to "celebrate" Thanksgiving before the actual day. Sure, you can do a fall table setting and put out a fall wreath, but to my knowledge people don't have thanksgiving parties all month long (like they would Christmas or Holiday parties all December long). There's no Thanksgiving songs to listen to. There's no turkey shaped lights to hang around my door. Sooo...I kind of turn my holiday music on a little early.

I will say, on Thanksgiving and the day after I do like to watch all my favorite thanksgiving tv specials. All the thanksgiving themed episodes of Friends and Will & Grace. the Peanuts specials, etc (There aren't that many Thanksgiving Themed movies) But other than that it's Christmas music from right after Halloween till New Years!

    I love Christmas music.

But, I'm a purist and I don't even think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving. No presents, no decorations and no music until the day after Thanksgiving. Period, the end!

I like my holidays one at a time.

I am an all year long listener. I will sing it any time of year. However, I try not to listen to it too much before thanksgiving. I love Christmas!!!

One radio channel around here has completely converted to Christmas music 24/7. They actually started playing it BEFORE Halloween. SERIOUSLY?! I love Christmas music but I think we should celebrate one holiday at a time so I voted after Thanksgiving. IMO, Christmas music is inappropriate coming out of a open sunroof or windows(in Michigan at least).

Before Thanksgiving I will put on Christmas music if there is a snow storm, but other than that I don't really listen to it before Thanksgiving.

[QUOTE]I started listening to Christmas music last year right before Thanksgiving, when I was doing a lot of baking. I did a TON of baking last year, and it was the perfect soundtrack. I also listen to the Christmas station on Pandora, but I had to thumbs down a lot of the songs. Apparently my picky music tastes also carry over to festive songs.

Thisssss! I loooove to bake, and when it's holiday-ish stuff, Christmas music is the best.

The day after Thanksgiving starts the Christmas season for me. Decorations, music, etc. I love Mariah Carey's first Christmas album.

I am cheating a little because I am singing "Joy to the World" on Dec 10, so I'm practicing already.
