We finally made a concrete decision for the wedding!!

We have been playing with ideas and looking around at stuff, but we've finally made a decision (after a whole entire week, lol) ... and we've got a date and a venue!

We're going with October 27, 2012. It's close to Halloween, but the venue was more important to the date and any friends of ours that would rather go to a Halloween party that they have every year rather than our wedding, is not cool, lol. It's actually the same location that FI's best friend got married, so he knows how it will look set up for a wedding and everything.

I'm working on pics to show you the venue, but those will have to come later! But I'm so excited!!!!

Thanks everyone! It's a huge relief to have that done and paid for. Now we just have to get the alcohol permit, lol.

It still doesn't quite feel real, but I don't know if it ever will. It's strange and we keep using the word "surreal", lol. Everything is so new, so I think it will probably take a while to sink in. I do feel so much more relieved that we got our venue though. I was starting to freak out with everyone talking about how quickly they book up.

My mom just texted me to say "Next year this morning you will wake up as Mrs. XXXX" ... and that's sooo weird, lol. FI's mom is a Ms., not a Mrs. so at least there's no confusion there, lol.

Ooooh, I'm jealous of your gorgeous fall wedding. If SoFL actually had, you know, seasons, I would have been all over a fall wedding.

My FMIL is remarried so I won't have the same name as her and I kind of like that! Congrats on picking the venue and date... that's awesome! Time to update your ticker!!

That's always a possibility for me too, that she'll remarry. I doubt it, but it could happen. I think I'd like it that way better too. It's just kinda weird to know someone and then all of a sudden you kinda have their name, lol.
