So, today start out pretty crappy for me. I woke up this morning around 7:30, feeling totally sick at my stomach (for reasons still unknown, but I'm attributing it to the burger I had for lunch yesterday and the 3 soft tacos for dinner). After finally forcing myself out of bed and getting ready for work, I make the 20 minute drive to work in less time than usual. Only once I get inside do I realize I'm an hour late. Seems I was supposed to be at work at 8AM.... not 9AM.
So great, my first demerit on my otherwise spotless attendence record. After receiving a very understanding "repremand" (I use that word VERY loosely, and Lord only knows if I spelled that right, seeings I don't seem to have spellcheck <_<; ), I decided I would try to "buck up" and make sure I didn't let it keep me from having a good day.
Less than 2 hours after I started working, I realized I had given a customer back $20 MORE in change than I should have. I immediately radio'd my manager and basically explained the "oops" to him. He checked my drawer and, sure enough, I was $20 short. Ugh. Again, however, my manager was very understanding and told me that it was "okay" and that I should just "be more careful so it doesn't happen again".
The rest of the day seemed okay... and it seemed my stroke of bad luck was over, until I felt this horrible tinge in my lower back (and I mean way lower, like... tippy tip of my tailbone lower). It's still there and it makes walking a pain in the butt (no pun intended), as my knees feel like they're about to give way. It feels much better now that I'm at home and able to sit down, but I'm sure customers were giving me strange looks, haha.
LOLcats and hugs would be much appreciated, lol.
