I love all of it but the left side.  It doesn't go with the rest of the 'do.  I just want to tuck those strands back.

I agree with this, but thats possibly because I know if I did that the strands would bother me the whole time.

    Thanks everyone!

I appreciate the honesty about those little strands -- they were kinda bugging me, but the friend I had here to take pics said they looked good. I needed more opinions. :)

I'd get the strands out of my face if I were you.

That is one thing I said to my stylist- nothing hanging down to bug me all day!

But the rest looks beautiful. I especially love your makeup and veil. Gorgeous! :)

You look amazing! I like the strands on you but I'm a hair tucker and they would end up behind my ears and look weird. I think the braid is very unique and beautiful!

I don't really mind them hanging there. It's more what Mutley said, that they don't necessarily match the rest of the hair. It almost looks...unbalanced, maybe? Idk.

What about if that front strand were a little curlier and I had a strand on the right side, maybe lower down along the neck? Maybe kinda where you can see the little baby hairs behind my ear in the pic of my right side?

Or just go smooth with curls in back only?

    TK ate my post

    1) I love it when we can see your pretty face. I know you don't like it out there, but I enjoy it
    2) I love the back, right side, cage and flower
    3) I really dislike the hanging stuff. Even if it was tighter, I just imagine it falling and being a greasy mess by the end of the night. I have silly paranoia about that.

What if you did a deeper part? I think that might look nice.

I'm not a fan of things in my face in general but otherwise I think it's pretty cool. I like the braid on the one side.

I'd go with smooth. Everything else looks very polished. Can you try it the same way with no hangy-curls and see how you like it?

Especially with the birdcage veil, I'd keep the hairstyle somewhat sleek. The veil is very structured and might look better without the loose curls.

I say try it out and see how you feel. If you like the looser style, then really what matters is that you're happy and feel beautiful. A big, heartfelt, "I feel fabulous" smile will do way more for you than any hairstyle would. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" />

KD  and ekat -- yay, I'm glad you like the braid! I love them, but it's definitely good to hear I'm not the only one. :)

Hetshup -- thank you! you're too sweet. I also LOVE the suggestion of a deeper side part. I think that's a great idea.

Since the consensus seems to be no hanging stuff, I'll nix that, go for the deeper side part, keep the side braid, and keep the curls & flower in the back.

For the birdcage -- do y'all think it's better to keep it down for the ceremony and just have FI lift up for the kiss and then back down, or pull it back for the ceremony? I can't make up my mind.

I will def. remove it right after the ceremony though and just keep the flower in the back for the reception.

Again, I very much appreciate the feedback!

    super cute!!! love it!!!

    my feedback:

    1. Those strands would drive me crazy
    2. I LOVE the braid! I would keep the back sleek. Ditto to Jeana
    3. Love the flower and veil!
    4. I would leave the veil down during the ceremony and have him lift it up for the kiss, that way you'll be sure  it's not messed up and weird in all your photos since you won't have a mirror to see how it's flipped.

Jeana -- yes, I think that's a great point about the veil being so structured.

My dress is very goddess-y, so I think the stylist was trying to go for that.

But I think sleek in front (with side braid!) and loose curls in back is a good compromise.

And kat -- so true about the veil flipping funny and not looking good in pics! Way safer to just leave it down and lift it for the kiss.

Okay, so to work on completing the look --

what kind of jewelry??? Dangly earrings or studs? I was thinking dangly, but now think it might just be too much going on. But if studs, then is a necklace good, or just let the beading on the top of my dress speak for itself?

Here's a reminder of my dress:

If you go with studs (which I think would be great with the poofy flower and birdcage veil) then I think you can do a very simple, elegant necklace. Like, if you go pearl studs then a necklace with one simple pearl charm would be good.

But you could go without a necklace if you want. The beading certainly could stand alone.

You look familiar.. but then again, I think a lot of people look familiar. But anyways, I LOVE your hair. Have you seen if your makeup held up all day? . I love the veil as well.

The curl oh the side does need to be pulled off, it does make it look like your hair is just  falling down.  The back I feel needs to be a tighter curl. like this

I actually get that I look familiar a LOT -- I think I just have one of those faces? But it's totally possible, since southern Arizona isn't really all that populous. :)

Thanks on the hair and veil!

The makeup held up really well -- looked virtually the same 7 hours later! She used an airbrush primer, silicone-based airbrush makeup, and a sealer. Should stand up even to stupid July heat pretty well, I think.

I'm not a fan of the hanging down hair on the left there but that's already been covered. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the braid but I don't hate it though. Love the veil and the flower.

On to the jewelry I like the third necklace with the 2nd pair of earrings

Edit: I like the other two necklaces as well but I consdier those to be more casual than wedding jewelry

I like the first set of earrings, that dress really has a lot going on up top, so I don't think you need anything besides your decolletage.  Plus you will have a bird cage and a flower. It's a lot of look.

If you had to have a necklace, I like the first one.

Sapphire -- I see your point about the first 2 necklaces. I loooove leaves, though, and would definitely wear either of those a lot. In fact, I may just buy them anyway....My etsy addiction is starting to get out of hand. But yeah, I didn't want just a plain pearl. I have to have something with a little twist or sass, you know?

Hetshup -- I really can't make up my mind yea or nay on a necklace. But I think I will go ahead with those earrings. :)

I think that a necklace would be too much with your dress.  Your dress is just too amazing.  If you keep adding accessories, they will take away from your face.

Out of those two pairs of earrings, I like the 1st one best.  However, I do think you can do better.  (Off to look.)

First - you look beautiful!  I think your make-up is perfect.  I agree with everyone else though - keep all of your hair pulled back.

I also think a necklace would be too much.  You already have the beading on the top of the dress and the hair piece (which I love).  Anything else you add should be really simple.  IMO, just earrings would be great.  Studs or something that falls close to your ear.
