Decorating halp needed please!

Hello ladies. I was hoping you could help me with a decorating conundrum I am having. BF and I are completely redoing our bathroom. Everything except the toilet is going (the toilet was replaced last year and is still perfectly functional). It's our basement bathroom that doesn't get used much. The toilet is white, the shower will be white with chrome and either clear glass of green glass to match the vanity we bought. The door/baseboards etc are currently a dark brown, but don't match our vanity so we will probably be painting them white. The ceiling is also white. The space is small so I'm thinking a lighter coloured paint, but I have no idea what colour I want to paint the bathroom or if I wanted to do any special paint effects or anything. You all have such good taste so I was wondering if you had any suggestions?
This is the vanity we bought by the way:http://tinyurl.com/7fxfyjjThe faucet we bought is chrome also. This is the one we bought: http://tinyurl.com/87fstot

Any suggestions? The wall colour is really the only thing we're stuck on at this point

  • I think a sage green color would look really pretty. Maybe just paint one or two walls to accent the fixtures and glass, and paint the other walls white. Or consider putting in a chair rail, and painting green above and white below... Here are a couple inspiration pics:

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • I like the color of that last photo that tiger posted. I've learned the hard way that bolder colors you usually end up regretting later. My bedroom is yellow (it used to be burgandy), and though my room ended up looking lighter and not as dark and dungeony, the yellow just gets on my nerves now. It makes my room feel like it's got bad lighting. I don't mind yellow, just wish I would've went with a much lighter yellow.
  • I like the first picture that Tiger posted, however if the bathroom is on the smaller size a shade similar but lighter would probably be better.

I also love a blue-gray for bathrooms with a contemporary feel.

    Perhaps, something along these lines...

  • Thanks ladies! I like the blue-grey and the green! We're going this week to pick out flooring so I'll maybe look at paint samples and flooring, and see what I can figure out. I am leaning more to the green at this point since our upstairs bathroom is going to be blue with silver & white accents.

I think the last picture Tiger posted would be a really nice shade, depending on what we decide on for flooring.
