Not Engaged Yet

What do you want for Christmas?

For those of you who celebrate Christmas, what do you want? Ladies of other faiths and/or persuasions, what's on your wish list?

For me...
1. Engagement ring (totally not going to happen)
2. MadMen season 3
3. These pretty yellow gloves from Target

Ah nothing beats 24 hours of the christmas story on TBS =)

Also hoping for an engagement ring, not sure if i will get it over the holidays or not.
My little brother is in town for the holidays and i asked him to paint something for my living room...

other than that i am just looking forward to family time, tons of food, time off work and drinks with friends.

I kind of want a condenser microphone and windscreen, but no one knows I want it. Maybe I'll get another Amazon card for Christmas, so I can get them. (I have a nifty box that turns my laptop into a mini recording studio, and my dynamic mic isn't cutting it.)

I also wanted Rock Band 3, but I got that for my b-day last week.

I've wanted one of these for about 5 years. My mom has one and she's promised when I get married or get a house (whichever comes first) she's giving me one! It's not the only reason I want to get engaged, but it's a motivating factor for sure. </div>

Daisy - haha my mom now wants one, wish she would promise me one!  It's not even the top 500 reasons why I want to get engaged (thus the joking to make sure people knew I wasn't serious).  I just can't drop a few hundred dollars on a mixer when I have NO IDEA where to put it in my 1 bedroom apt.  Maybe when/if we get a house, I might get it for myself.  I don't think I could ask people to spend that on me for a gift.

I'm still waiting on the pony I've been asking for since I was probably about 3. BF told me it won't fit in my backyard :/

Hmmm I like sweaters. And a new backpack and scarf. The backpack will make me incredibly happy since my school bag is now falling apart and I finally found a replacement I love.

You deserve a Christmas present if you want one.  If he can't afford something, that's fine.  But he should be giving you SOMETHING.  It isn't about the money - it's about the thought.  Coupons for services (foot massage, clean the kitchen, 1 complain-free night watching a romantic comedy, etc.)  costs nothing and is thoughtful.  Or an awesome love letter, letting you know all the reasons he loves you.  Or a homemade candlelit dinner.  Or cleaning all that laundry and folding it and putting it away.

Tell that man of yours to put his thinking cap on and come up with something - it doesn't have to cost a penny, but you need to raise the bar here.  Don't settle for less than you deserve - EVER!  And while I'm sure there are things that are great about your guy, nearly everything you've posted about him makes me think that you forgive a lot of things he does that hurt your feelings.  Raise the bar, sweetie.  You deserve it.

A girl in my HR class has the same one in a different colour so I was happy to see it in person.

My falling apart bag is a well-loved Givenchy. But after 3 years of carrying a laptop and books in it, the straps are starting to tear.

    2) an e-reader - preferably a nook color
    3) gift cards - I love to shop, especially when I'm not the one paying for it
    4) for my family to not kill each other - my divorced grandparents on my dads side are going to spend Christmas with us this year. Should be interesting. I will more then likely end up playing the buffer this year. But other than hoping everyone plays nice I am really excited to see them both at the same time.
