Drama on my local board

You guys remember that makeup consultation I had last month where I decided not to book the lady because she went all funky and started arguing price with me even though she had emailed me her price?

Well, so many people on my local board are just popping up out of NOWHERE, never posted before (and it's a quiet board) reviewing and gushing about Aimee. And that's ALL they post. No other vendors, no questions, no other posts before that.

Now, apparently, those of us that don't fall to our knees and worship Aimee are "losers who spend all our time on the Knot."

People are getting suspicious, thinking that Aimee is posting as different fake people, or that she's paying people to (she DID offer me a discount to review her, but at least I posted pictures, which these folks don't do). It's really getting interesting. For the first time ever, Baton Rouge ladies are posting and expressing their thoughts. Usually there's only one new post a week.

Who knew drama would be so good for my local board?

Check it out, it's redonkulous. One girl even banned herself because she's SO UPSET about everything.

This is truly "Aimeezing" (in a dumb, but entertaining way)

Wow, if that's true that she's posting under different names, that is just pathetic.  Your work should speak for itself and you shouldn't need to do that.

That being said, every so often we get vendors on the Detroit board and it turns into a feeding-frenzy.  It makes for very entertaining reads when I get home from work

Many vendors have started posting lately (or so I feel like) and then act like their feelings are hurt when people remind them vendors aren't supposed to post. They then continue like they aren't the vendor and just another bride. Its crazy.

I hope the regulars on your board don't take them seriously.

Well, theoretically, these are real brides. I haven't made up my mind if they're actually the makeup artist and photographer (married couple) or if they are personal friends of theirs or brides they convinced to post (which is somewhat legit but still looks bad), or what.

I have just never seen Baton Rouge boards so busy!

Jeana that's a trip! It's funny how variable the local boards are - some hardly ever post, some are pretty busy. It's a shame yours is finally moving because of something that's likely BS, but at least it's amusing!

I just headed over there and read a bunch of those posts...my sides hurt a little from  giggling at the craziness of some people.  I wish my local board was that amusing!

My local is VERY slow, despite Savannah being a pretty big destination spot.  A couple months ago, there was an outburst of posts praising "Events by Caroline," an event planner in the area, after someone had come on the local and said that they sucked.  Seriously.  One post saying they were bad, and then like 5 over the next 5 days talking about how they were the best planner EVAR.

There's one other bride on there who checks it and writes fairly regularly, and we both reported all the additional threads and she made a thread talking about how enough was enough, and they had all been reported as vendors, and would continue to be reported until they stopped.  If they wanted to praise that vendor, they could all do so in ONE thread instead of clogging up the board.  It stopped IMMEDIATELY.

I remember back when my friend was planning her wedding, she would tell me how mean and rude the people on the New Orleans board was.  This was like 3 years ago, but still...it kinda reminds me of your drama.
