There's one level I've been trying to get past for months.  It is the most frustrating thing in the world.  And thus, it is becoming the biggest procrastination tool yet.

Raven, it's mahjong.  You match tiles...kind of like solitaire, but IMO way cooler.

Peeaboo- Oohh I have seen this game before.  I tried to play it once but it was way to hard for my brain.... lol
Elle- that sounds nice :)  How goes the job hunt?
Alanna- something for Japan?  I just saw on the new some girl raised $14,000 by holding a lunch sale at her college....

Ravenray, that's an excellent idea! I doubt we'd raise $14,000, but we could try. Did she make bagged lunches and sell them?

Peekaboo - Cool!  I went to check out a possible venue today, and I was looking through some pictures from a prior event, and the guys were dressed exactly like we're planning.  It was cool to see it in a real wedding on real people.

Ray - Meh...  It's not really going at all.  I'm in an awkward position, because my prior work experience has been restricted to a small, specific sector.  Also, while I'm sure my skillset can still translate to other industries, I'm moving in 4 months and going back to school, so I really don't have the time to look for another "real" job.  I've shifted my focus toward entry-level part-time stuff that will sustain me for the summer.

The APO chapter here on campus did a bowl-a-thon for 9/11 and raised a crap ton of money.  I think they got the bowling alley to let them use the facility for free because it was for charity, but I'm not sure exactly as it was way before my time.

Alanna- No she had hamburgers and hot dogs.  It was cool because I think she is from Japan and she had students help talk about in classes to get the word out.  Let me see if I can find the article.  Found it!  http://placerherald.com/detail/174352.html

    They had a bbq

Elle - I should just stop.  It's freaking me out with the money thing.  If my parents weren't so insistent on the wedding being in DC, we'd get married in Pensacola.  But I understand that we are going to have a lot of OOT family, and DC just makes sense logistically.  Unfortunately, the cost for venue/catering/photography/floral is going to be about 2-3 times what we'd pay in Pensacola.  Money freaks me out in general.  This amount of money on one event is going to cause me to have an aneurism.

    PRESENT!

I am homeworking and beautifying. Mud mask, plucking eyebrows etc.

Elle, sometimes I momentarily hope I don't get a job right after college and can just relax for a few months. I know this is bad and not at all going to be helpful... I don't even take summers off. I will try to get a job, but I would be okay with not finding one until after the wedding that year (so 4 months).

Ray - Just about anything at this point.  I've been doing some tutoring, which I've done for years and rock at, but I can't get enough hours there, so I've literally been applying for almost anything.  I'm sick of feeling like a government mooch and living off of unemployment, but most of the jobs out there pay less than unemployment does, so what am I going to do?  I'm going back to school for a Masters in English.  It's a big departure from my undergrad, but I've been wanting to go back for years.  It's time.

Peek - I so feel you.  I get all exciting about wedding stuff and start looking at different things, then a little corner of my mind starts seeing dollar signs and I freak out and avoid looking at any wedding stuff for several days.

Elle- yaya English!  I totally know that feeling of mooch but don't feel bad!  You aren't as long as you are looking for a job.  People are mooches when they live off of it forever and never make any moves to get a job.  (I live right outside of a town full of them so I know them trust me).  Those people annoy me but your looking and you are getting ready to go back to school.  You are cool, don't stress :)

Ravenray, thanks for the link! I'm going to show this to my flight on Tuesday. We wouldn't be able to organize it in time for the deadline, especially with Massachusett's weather, but that's definitely something for us to plan when the weather gets better. We have a great campus for something like that, too.

Peakaboo, we have a bowling alley right down the street. I feel like they wouldn't give us free bowling...but I'm wondering if they'd give us a cut of the earnings for that night to be donated... Thanks for the idea!
