If the fact that I work in the industry is an issue, I can just stop posting and go back to lurking. I'm fine with reading about other people's stories, I was just curious for advice on my own situations.

Haha, it better not be you Kayla. I work at a florist and consult with brides frequently. I think it might be against the knot terms and conditions to be posting on here, but we aren't trying to sell anything.

Yeah. For the record, I don't want to sell anything to anyone, nor does it benefit me. At this point I'm just here to chat, but I seriously don't mind backing off if it's that much of an issue.

It's only people who post on here as actual vendors.  i.e. posting and replying to posts regarding their business and trying to sell services.  People in the wedding industry get married too   I think as long as you chat about your personal life and not try to get us to use "so and so" vendor, I think you're fine.

There are knotties who've been banned just because they work in the wedding industry, regardless of whether or not they were trying to sell their services to other knotties. Loopy wouldn't ban you for that, but Knot Annie would. It's not fair, but it has happened.  The best thing to do is just not mention that you work in bridal industry at all.

It is just silly, because the only people I could sell to would have to live in my city. We are a local shop.

Shiznit, we're all vendors.

I made all of the decorations, invitations, etc for my bestie's bridal shower - and then several guests asked me to help them with another shower. 

Crap, my mom made napkins for my wedding and I sent them to Oceana's mom for her sister's bridal shower.
