Oh my goodness....
Have you seen this show?!

It's like a train wreck. It makes me feel disgusting. And it makes me want to cry. It makes me feel like I should change the channel, but I can't set down the remote.

I'm watching an episode where a woman is eating her deceased huband's ashes.

Oh, I hope they can get her help. And I think she should probably bury the ashes.

Embalming chemicals can cause paralysis.

So- Have you seen this show?

I saw the one with the woman who ate rocks on The Soup. My teeth hurt for an hour.  Agh!

I've seen tha show before. I think it was the one with the lady who ate powdered laundry soap or something and when the dr told her what it was doing to her health she was all like "oh dat not gud". Just the way she said it kinda made me laugh.

It sounds similar to a show I've seen before called Freaky Eaters. One episode I saw was of a girl who ate nothing but french fries, and another of a guy that would eat glass (lightbulbs, champagne glasses), and a girl who would eat chalk.

Eating your deceased husbands ashes isn't just freaky, it's downright disturbing.

Now I'm watching a hoarders where this guy is living in a doublewide with his 2 year old son- and his 19 year old daughter is raising his 1 year old daughter.

Goodness. I'm watching terrible programming today!

Omg just reading the thread subject made me gag!  I can't believe that's for real, that has to be one of the sickest things I've ever heard. 

I have never seen that show or heard of it but I guess it's about people who eat weird things?  When I was little I ate the white parts of matches.  Now, I admit that's weird but it's not husband-ashes-weird.

Lunar, we're on the same TV schedule. Just watched that episode with the ashes and now I'm watching the hoarding episode.
I feel bad for all these people I'm glad they're able to get help.

Wow...I guess it's Trainwreck Wendesday on TLC tonight.

There is only 7 minutes left of this Hoarding...I wonder how it will end. Hm...I've never seen TLC or anyone sponsor someone to get a new home or anything...

The ending of Hoarders is always the worst part. The A&E one at least usually ends with the cleanup crew saying something like "well, we got a room cleaned out, but unfortunately the city will have to condemn the house. They have a lot of work to do in aftercare". Not helpful! 

When I was a baby I ate the hair out of my favorite doll (now it's something my parents would have rushed me to a doctor for -- in the 80's I guess it was just quirky!). I left a tiny bit in because I didn't want to eat all of it. Maybe she'll do that with the ashes? Hopefully the helped her, though!

Hrm. I didn't eat anything weird when I was little...

So now moving on to a new show..."I didn't know I was pregnant."

That's a sweeeet tub she's in.

I come from a family of illness...So if I was in that type of pain- I'd be at the doctor's pronto.

Yeah, I've caught this show a few times.  The last one was the 20-something year old "woman" who liked to dress and live as a baby.  I'm talking diapers, her bed was a baby crib, the whole thing.  This was also the same one where the woman huffed gasoline - she had water bottles full of gas EVERYWHERE and huffed like every 15 minutes.  To me that's just a drug addict and not a "strange addiction". 

I don't know if I could handle that one though .. eating someone's ashes... She needs very serious help.

It's weird what they consider to put on a show. The woman living as a baby is more fetish related versus what I would consider an additicion however. There is a show called "Taboo" that explores all different types of non traditional aspects of life people lead from relationships to extreme body modification and everything in between. It's rather interesting however and presented in a more documentary type format that I prefer.

I do believe there are some people that are truly addicted to doing out of the oridinary things for whatever reason. It's fascinating yet scary to me all at the same time.

Is it bad that I actually wanted to see that episode? It's one of those things that you want to watch because it is so unheard of and disturbing but at the same time you don't want to watch it because it just feels wrong....

I watched this episode last night. It was horrible... I almost cried when she was holding her husband's ashes and crying, "Please don't take him away from me."
