Kidney update

Well I got a call from the doctor just a bit ago. She said my urine sample came back still with a bunch of protein in it. She said i have to go to a nephrlogist (kidney doctor) and figure out what's going on. I'm pretty freaked out. I was really really REALLY hoping that the protein would be gone so I wouldn't need to worry.... but it's not.

They've checked my blood and that came back as okay. So, my kidneys WORK okay, but yeah. Somethings going on.

They can't get me in until November 18th which is soooo far away. Looks like I'll be extremely worried until then. Joy.

Vibes and hugs please. Anything to cheer me up. I don't do well with health issues.

Aww, I'm sorry. Waiting is the worst. I don't know if it helps or not that the holidays are coming or not, but hopefully it can help you stay busy and keep your mind off of it all. At least there is good news that your kidneys are working as they should be. My test is scheduled for Nov. 22nd, so I understand having to wait. After that test, I'm sure they won't tell me anything, I have to wait until Dec. 1st before they actually tell me what the tests mean. So we can wait together.

And you know we're all here for you if you just want to vent. Even if it's every day. : ) (hugs).

Kidney problems suck! I would volunteer one of mine but they are stone producing so not sure if you want one problem over the other It will all work out in the end, I just know it!

Vibes/thoughts/prayers your way!! I hope they can give you some concrete answers at your appointment on the 18th. Did they have any ideas as to what it could be?

I hope the time passes quickly and you are able to get some answers soon, Hope. I know it's way easier said than done, but do your best to not worry for now.

Vibes, hugs and I'll definitely add you to my prayer list!  I hope that your upcoming appointment will help them provide you with some answers! 

Try to fucus on the fact that your blood work was good and that your kidneys do work in the meantime.  I know it is a pain in the @ss and you want the uncertainty figured out and problem fixed but try to be it could be worse.

Kidneys are hearty little suckers.  I have a heriditary kidney disease and my work in the 40 something percent range.  You would never know I have sick kidneys.  I hate that waiting thing too but you can't change that.  What you can control is how you eat, rest, exercise, and treat those kidneys.  Do whatever they are telling you to and treat them well.  Hopefully everything will go very well at the nephro.  Good luck and please come back and update us.
