The Bachelor?

I'm only 35 minutes in to the first part of this week's episodes, but holy wow, I'm definitely leaning toward Emily now!

Are most of you all still thinking she is who Brad will pick???

And does anyone know if they're doing a Bachelorette next? Who would you like to see?

Oh and boo, what a baby Ashley is being about the helicopter. She just comes across as kinda fake and dramatic to me? Her voice drives me crazy.

Ahhhh!! I love the Bachelor!!!

I really hope he'll pick Emily. But, he seems to really love Chantel too. So, I dont' know.  Emily is such a sweetheart. I reallly would love her to win. She just seems so much more genuine. I'm sort of thinking he'll pick Chantel though (ick. she's not my fav) just because marrying her seems like he thinks it will be so much less complicated. He seems way more comfortable around her too. With Emily he always seems a little awkward.  I REALLY hope he picks emily though!!!!!

For the Bachelorette, I don't have anyone that I really want to see back again. I liked Jackie a lot, but I don't think she was a 'favorite'. I just liked her a bunhc.

I love this show. I also watched this past Monday's episode today too. I hope he picks Emily! I would like to see Michelle as the next bachelorette. I'm always open to new drama!

Ashley: She needed to go. I thought a couple epiosdes back that she needed to be cut. They were in two different places in their lives. I'm not sure why he just noticed that now.

Chantal: She proclaimed her love for him way to early for me. But I guess you know when you know? I feel like if he did choose her it would just be because she is safe. 

Emily: I don't see her moving to Texas since her child's father's family lives in Charlotte. I could see this being a problem. I do hope he chooses her though.

I think he will DEFINITELY pick Emily.  Chantel flat out told him that she loved him and all he said was something like, "It feels good to hear you say that.  It REALLY does."  But when EMILY said she was falling in love with him, he said he was falling in love with her, too.  And she hasn't brought any drama.  So, I think he will definitely choose Emily.  I honestly think Chantel would be a better choice for him for some reason, though.

I was glad to see that crazy Michelle go home.  What a train wreck.

I haven't been watching the show long enough to say a bachelorette I would like to be on the show.

My guess is that it will be Chantel.  I'm on the record.

True story, BUT, just to play devil's advocate...that WAS a couple weeks ago, so maybe at that point it was too soon for him to say anything back?

And, as someone else pointed out, he does seem more at ease with Chantal.

IDK! I'm excited for the finale, though!

I'm addicted to this season of The Bachelor.  I REALLY want Emily to win, but something tells me he'll pick Chantel.  If he does pick Chantel, I'm hoping Emily will be the next Bachelorette.

I want Emily to win as well. Although, he seems to have a lot in common with Chantel's family. It's too bad he only got to meet Emily's daughter. I know that she's the most important member of Emily's family but the rest of her family is her support system.

Anyway, I thought Ashley was being ridiculous when he cut her. How could she not understand how it looks to him when she can't answer really important questions like that.

I want Emily to be the one he picks! She is so sweet and he seems to really like her. He keeps saying that he is most comfortable being himself around Chantel though...and he did have a lot of shared experiences with her dad. I don't really think he can go wrong either way, but I'm totally rooting for Emily.

Next week is the interview with all of the girls who were let go...so we have to wait 2 more weeks for the finale!

oh - and I agree, it was time for Ashley to go. He kept saying that they had such a strong connection...but honestly I never saw it. It seemed to me like he had to spend way too much time convincing her that he liked her. ugh...

Crap, i can't really participate in this conversation because I know the outcome (a friend of a friend was one of the bachelorettes). If you want spoilers, PM me. 

I will comment on Ashley, though. When you're in that situation, with a guy asking you how he fits in your life, telling him something vague like 'I can live anywhere as long as the people I love are around me' isn't reassuring. That's the time when you say 'My job is mobile and if you love me as much as I love you, I'll be happy wherever we are.' Sh&t, I live 2,000 miles from my family, whom I adore, but it's most important that I'm wherever my BF is. HE is home. She did not make that clear to Brad and just seemed way too wishy washy about it.

Can't fault her for the helicopter thing though. I'm personally not scared of them, but if you're scared of heights, I gotta give it to her for even getting in!

I would like to see Emily win. But, (okay, I am a communication major...) his nonverbals are stronger with Chantel. My guess is that he picks Chantel and Emily becomes the new Bachelorette.

I honestly don't think he would tell Emily he was falling in love with her if he was thinking he'd pick Chantal. I'll go on record with Emily as my pick. this week's episode really changed things for me. I was convinced that no one would ever drag a child into a Bachelor relationship with the abysmal track record those things have. But I think Brad really wants to be a dad, and he wants a sweet girl. Emily is way sweeter than Chantal. Also, honestly, I think he's less comfortable with Emily b/c he cares more what she thinks. He's more comfy with Chantal b/c he's less worried about what she thinks.

I really hope he picked Emily. She seems like the most genuine, level-headed, grounded one of the entire bunch, to the point where I find myself questioning "what in the hell are you doing on this show, sweet pea?"

Just a note - Chris Harrison just gave an interview yesterday - he confirmed that if Emily was not chosen, she will NOT be the bachelorette next season, that she stated from Day 1 she wouldn't want to put her daughter through that. ::ratcheting up respect points::
