Thank you both so very much!

I had a bit of a rough time week 5ish on, feeling nauseated all day every day, but things slowly started improving, and now I am feeling SO much better. Thank goodness!

So far, the dr says everything looks normal and healthy, and Little Desert is growing ahead of schedule and has a healthy heartbeat.

I've had a couple people tell me I'm showing already, but I think it's mostly just chub. Maybe in a few weeks I will be feeling brave enough to post a belly pic.

Meanwhile...if you're interested...here's a pic of the little bean:

Call me crazy, but I think it looks like my little fetus is smiling and doing a John Travolta -- one arm diagonally across the front of the body, caught mid disco pointy move? Is it just me?

Yeah, baby seems to be a bit of a performer already. Both ultrasounds we've had so far, s/he has been dancing all around.

I'm taking guesses on the sex! Anyone have a gut feeling?

I don't yet, but apparently some other people in my life have very strong feelings, all for the same sex. So I'm curious to see if the trend continues.

Holy cow, it's friggin' unanimous. NO ONE has said boy yet. She's going to be the girliest girl EVAR at this rate! LMAO!

We haven't scheduled the anatomy scan/sex ultrasound yet, but from what I understand, that will probably be in January at 20 weeks.

Ollie, we've actually only heard the HB/had it measured once so far, and it was 179 bpm at about 10 weeks. The most recent u/s, we SAW it beating away on the screen, which was pretty amazeballs.

Probably not. We're pretty low key and private so I doubt we'll do much besides calling family to let them know.

I still haven't made up my mind whether I'll do some kind of post or announcement on FB about the pregnancy, let alone the sex of the baby!

Technically speaking, you cannot reveal a fetus' gender.  Gender is a social construct. You can reveal a fetus' sex due to it being biological. 

Desert, can I throw you a sex reveal party?!  Forget the baby shower.  I want the honor of hosting the revealing of the sex.

I vote girl too.

As for the showing already, I've heard that by 12 weeks your uterus begins to be too big to fit in your pelvis, and that's when people usually get a little bump, so it's totally possible!  (However, take this with a grain of salt because I've never been pregnant myself, and it's at least second- if not third-hand information.)
