AW: Invites are being mailed

The invitations, RSVP cards, maps and picture of FI & me (his idea) are stuffed into the envelopes...all the envelopes are addressed and stamped and sealed with a cute little silver seal that says "this day I marry my friend".  My mom is hand-delivering them to the post office tomorrow (she doesn't want to trust the blue boxes for the invites).

And...we got our 1st official RSVP today. One of the friends who helped us stuff and address told us she'd save us a stamp and just took her invite home with her and she officially RSVP'd today.  RSVP date is Valentine's Day (wanted to make it a day people would remember and it worked perfect for our time frame).

So excited!

Thanks all.  We're really down to just the little things now.  Still need to meet with our pastor a few times, but we knew we wouldn't be meeting with him till sometime in January anyway. 

I have all the flowers to make the 5 (well, 6 if you count the tossing one) bouquets and 8 bouts...we found all the supplies on sale last week and a friend of the family offered to put them all together as his gift to me.

I'm getting together with another friend next week to hand-make necklaces for my BM's - the "base" of the necklace will be red coral beads with smaller silver beads in between and I found 4 different butterfly charms that seem to fit each of their personalities.

I have a dress fitting on Friday and it should be the only one - the dress fit pretty well, we just had to have the sleeves changed to a petal sleeve so I could lift my arms and she was going to take in the top of the shoulders about an inch so it didn't gap.

I got the stickers and cards for the favors printed yesterday - still some work to do on them, but they're easy, so I'm not worried about that.  My favorite candy is m&m's and FI's is peanut butter cups, so we got mini muffin cups in our colors and they'll be filled with m&m's and a sticker on top of the peanut butter cup.  We're also giving them an after dinner mint - a starlight mint tied onto a card that says "Thanks for sharing in our excite-mint today. It mint so much to us".

Can't do the programs until we talk with the organist and our pastor, but my dad is going to print all of them because he's doing a sketch of one of our engagement pictures to go on the front cover.

So, really, not that much left to do...now I've just got to find those pesky shoes.

Yay!!! That's awesome. I was thinking about you. I knew your date was coming up soon.
I need to be more like you and get moving. We haven't even picked out our invitations yet and we need to mail ours early because 60% of our guests are coming in from out of state.
