What are you proud of today?

Tell us what you are proud of so we can all pat your back!

I just finished my honors thesis and feel over-flowing with joy and puppies and flowers ! Excuse the uber cheese, it feels wonderful to be done and I'd like to know what everyone else is proud of today.

Congrats Amsy!  I'm sure that's a great feeling.  Have a drink to celebrate.  It is Mardi Gras, after all.

Right now, I'm really proud of my parents.  I talked to my mom today and she said that she and my dad (they're divorced, and don't talk all that often) have devised a plan to pay for my wedding without draining anyone's savings.

They're going to buy, flip, and re-sell a house, then use the profits for the wedding.  It's something they used to do together a lot, but haven't since their marriage went south.  The fact that they're teaming up and willing to do this together, just for me, puts me over the moon.  I could cry.

So, yeah, add me to the "joy and puppies and flowers" club.

Elle, that is so great! I bet you're estatic about that. I have puppy and rainbow feelings for you. Amsy- what a relief you must be feeling! Nothing too awesome around here. No one fought at my birthday dinner so that is quite awesome. I think I've decided to go to class tomorrow, this is to be continued.

    Is today your birthday, Emily?!

    Yay for finishing your thesis.

I'm proud of myself for getting a few of our wedding gifts unpacked and set up. Also, I mistakenly thought that 75 thank you cards would be enough between the shower and the wedding...I was wrong.  I'm going to need to make at least 30 more and I got half of them made today (no, I don't have the thank you notes written yet, not that good, just the cards made).  I plan to start writing the thank you notes this weekend.

Angie, making more cards is still a big step to writing all those thank-you notes!

Elle, that is awesome about your parents! They must both really love you a lot to be doing this for you.  It's also awesome that they are paying for your wedding!

    Happy Birthday M!!!

Yesterday I was proud of going to the gym two days in a row.  My knee allowed me to do 20 mins biking then 35 mins elliptical.  It's the first time since my accident!  Maybe all it really did need was time to heal.

Yay girls!  Super happy for you!

Elle, that's great that they're working together for you!  I'm sure it's incredibly touching that they'd put aside their differences.

Amy, CONGRATS on finishing the thesis!  That's gotta be a huge relief!

Nothing I'm particularly proud of today... yesterday was a crappy day at work where I felt like everything I ever did right was ignored and everything I did wrong was magnified and blown out of proportion.  It sucked.

Oh, but I did get my impressions for Invisalign!  So I'm starting in 3 weeks.  Not so proud, more nervous/excited.

Good job ladies! Reading this is definitely what I needed this morning. I'm feeling more inspired now.

As minor as it is, I'm proud that I got my butt out of bed at 4:45 this morning as planned considering I went to bed at 10:30 which was not as planned. I need to keep this motivation up knowing that we are getting 20-30 cms (8-12 inches) of snow in the next 24 hours and I'm going to have to shovel it all by myself.

Amsybot - that's a HUGE accomplishment, you should be uber proud!

I started a workout class last month. Super hard and way more than I ever thought I could handle. Anyway, I've managed to drag my butt there for the entire month, 3 times a week, no skips! I'm super proud of that and intend to keep it up.

Congratulations! That's a HUGE accomplishment - you're totally allowed to be all puppies and rainbows.

I finished a big scary research proposal assignment last night. I'm never going to be doing the research of course, but it wasn't an easy assignment to do. It's not due till Friday, but I have an essay to write for Monday so I had to wrap it up.

Congrats everyone! I started research yesterday for my dissertation. It'll be a loooong road, but worth it in the end.

    Amsy, congrats, that's awesome!

    Elle, that's crazy and great.

    Emily, happy belated birthday!!

Mana, great news about your knee!

Cate, I'm sure the Invisalign time will fly by!

Hazel, I do not envy you and your impending snow-shoveling.

    Good job, everybody!

I had a successful interview for a staffing agency on Monday. They're submitting me for a couple of jobs. We'll see...

    Congrats everyone!!

    Emily- Happy belated birthday!

Last night I finished one of my classes and found out I got 100% on both my 10 page paper and 40 min presentation! It feels really good to do well on a presentation like that because I get so nervous and anxiety-filled just thinking about presenting! It's good to know that I can do it well even when I'm so nervous!

Cover letters and OBJECTIVES are the worst. Duh I'm writing because I want this job and my resume shows how I am qualified. My objective is TO GET THIS FREAKIN JOB!

I'm proud that thus far I have not freaked out on anyone yet today. (Mega stressed out due to my parents being difficult.)
