WSG: New Goals and Motivation

So, basically, I've been slacking off since I moved.  I've been depressed and definitely been "eating my feelings".  I'm pretty sure I've put on about 5 pounds since last week.

Last night, my roommate and I were talking about my upcoming date next week, and we've resolved to do P90X 4 times a week and get ourselves together.  I'm still going to keep up with my running, because I need to.  I feel horrid that I haven't had a real run since I got here, and so first thing in the morning, I'm running.

And to top all of this off, we're spending the next two weeks working on my look - makeup, hair, everything.  Her goal is to knock his socks off next Saturday when we go out.  And, as such, teach me how to do it so that she doesn't have to come to DC with me.  :)

So, what's your motivation this week?  What are your goals?

Well, tonight I get to try on a potential rehearsal dinner dress and my wedding dress again. My motivation is the 1/2 marathon I registered for in January and a potential marathon in April. Not to mention looking HAWT in my wedding dress. I was supposed to run 3.5 miles this morning but it was so hard to get out the door (it was dark AND cold!) so I only did 2, but I'm ok with that. It's better than nothing at all and I can make it up tomorrow.

I went to the gym last night and walked on the treadmill for 50 min. That's about as good as I have been doing. I can do way better, but I've been tired and stressed and a little depressed and I was happy I did at least something. My bff just joined my gym so I think that will help too!

It's great to have a buddy to go with to the gym. I've been having that problem too CCO. I'm grumpy, tired, overworked, and stressed, and so I haven't been making it all that regularly.  The BF wants to start a competition on Dec. 1st to see who can lose the most percentage weight/weight/inches, so maybe we'll start working out together!

And, btw, CCO, you said November 27th, right?  On Sunday?

I still suck at being active but I've been eating pretty well overall so I guess that's better than nothing.

My motivation is Miami in 3 weeks & Grand Cayman in 6 weeks. I really need to lose 1-2 lbs a week before GC. I only have bikinis & I really would not feel comfortable putting one on at the weight I am right now.

Peek: That sounds like so much fun. I would love to have someone give me a makeover and teach me how to do it myself, lol.

I have lots of reasons to get back on track. Yesterday I listed them all on post cards and taped them on the wall next to my desk.

I get my driver's license updated this year (December) and the last time I went, I weighed 265 pounds, so I want to lose as much as I can by then. I also want to lose weight for engagement pictures next Spring. I even drew an arrow on my hand pointing to the ring. I figure that if I see the arrow as my hand is coming towards my face with food that I know I shouldn't be eating, it might be enough to make me try something else, lol.

I did a workout yesterday, but skipped the abs. I was going to do abs on my break this morning, but my mom announced that she and my grandma are coming over today, so I ended up cleaning instead. Luckily our apartment was already fairly clean.

I am sick and tired of all of the excuses I've been giving myself though, so I am ready to get over this plateau!!

I have to get back into my regular eating and exercising routine this week.  I've been bad, between a visit home to see my family and then my trip to WWoHP.

So now I'm back in the real world and I have to resume acting as such.  Which sucks.

I don't want to make new goals. I want to eat rocky road ice cream and brownies this week. I'm a poop.

Haha, I have a little voice in my head that tells me this every day too. I haven't had rocky road ice cream or brownies in a while. Imagine them together. Hot brownie with cold ice cream. Mmm, now I'm drooling, lol.

I'm lame, so my motivation is my personal trainer. Works pretty well when I see him twice a week and he's always hounding me to stay on top of things :P

I confess that it's working, and for the first time in a looong time the scale is finally slowly going down, which is a nice way to get started. :)

    Accountability is KEY for me.

My goals: do more cardio on my own, and eat more veggies and protein and even less junk.
