I'm the opposite - my BF left this morning for the weekend. Won't see him until Sunday night. We live together, so I'm actually looking forward to some alone time with our dogs, and getting the house in some semblance of order. Plus watching girlie tv shows all weekend! SYTTD and David Tutera's show, here I come!

Being LD, DK and I only see each other every other month or so.  Our longest record is about 2 1/2  months 2 summers ago because we were both working our butts off.  But I completely agree being apart makes our time together extra special and extra enjoyable.

Sparrow, people like you make me feel like a total wuss when I whine about three weeks.  Considering that three weeks is an exception, and I generally see him almost every weekend, I totally know that it could be worse.  Still, when you've lived with someone for 3 years and <em>then</em> you have to do the LD thing, it sucks.

That sucks!  BF's cousin is in the army.  He had like a week off before he got deployed and his wife had an unexpectedly early period for like 4 of the 7 days. :(  That would be awful.

Also, I'm taking a trip to England and Ireland this summer without BF, and I'll be gone for a few days short of a month with no phone.  I'm gonna miss him lots.

Elle, it's been...three weeks for us too.  But, I don't get to see him until next Wednesday, so that'll make it a month  I miss him.

He's coming down, we're going to a fancy schmantzy dinner next Thursday and then driving back to my parents' house Thursday night...

All you LD ladies make me feel like a huge wuss. I whine about 5 days. BF and I had a few times when it was just slightly longer than a week towards the start of dating, but then he had a job title change and hasn't done much traveling in a while. I don't know how I could possibly handle 3 weeks or 2 1/2 months. Kudos to you...sidenote: yummy Kudos snack bars from my childhood...

BF and I don't let period time get in the way of sexy time...there are lots of creative solutions that do not involve anyone's butt. BTW, did you know a shark brain has a very similar shape to the female reproductive system? We now refer to one week out of the month as "shark week."

And yeah, shark week doesn't have to interfere with sexy time...  that's why showers were invented... I'm pretty sure I read that in an encyclopedia somewhere...

FI leaves Sunday to train new hires at a station that is opening in the next few weeks. I don't mind when he's gone during the week, which is usually when he's OOT since he has to work here Friday Saturday Sunday. Work and school can keep me occupied during the week.

On the note of shark week, I just think of it as another month of being pregly free. This shark week has been brutal and I've been a REAL peach. I was in an awful mood last night and was craving the bumpy cake sundae I had in the fridge. On the way home from school and after various pissed off moments, I thought "If my sundae isn't there, someone is getting stabbed." I got to FI's and it was gone. Luckily, I had calmed down by the time I got home and FFIL will live to see another day.

Oh, wow. You guys that do the LD thing and have to be apart for long periods of time are amazing in my book. I don't know that I'd be able to do it. Well actually if I had to I know I could, but I really wouldn't want to. Yay for getting to spend some time together for you guys though.
