Finally booked our honeymoon.

We are going to El Dorado Royale in Playa Del Carmen in early December for our honeymoon. Yay! I am excited to have something to look forward too. I also have an interview set up for Thursday. The lady is super excited to meet with me and she has only seen my resume.

Here is the resort if you are interested: http://www.eldoradosparesorts.com/hotels/el_dorado_royale/

That will be FABULOUS in December when it's all cold and snowy!

Plus, an interview makes your day twice as awesome! GL!

Holy WOW, Loopy! Looks amazing! I am sure it will be an excellent escape from the snow in the Twin Cities that time of year. :)

Good luck on the interview! I'm sure you'll be awesome. :) Is it for the same kind of thing you were doing before?

Thanks girls! I do hope the interview goes well.

It will be nice to get out of here in December and the resort does indeed appear to be quite nice. I hope it is at least as nice as the other resort we have gone to the past few years.

Desert - The job is still in housing somewhat. This would be dealing with homeowner associations instead of working in a leasing office at a property. I refuse to ever do that again. I am so beyond burnt out on leasing.

Yay for booking your honeymoon - I'm sure it will be wonderful!

Good Luck on the interview - I did HOA's for 7 1/2 years, so I understand what you mean about being burned out on leasing...you definitely need a change and you'll definitely be able to transfer what you know from leasing to HOA's.  That's a huge plus on your side!

This is what I gathered today when I met with the recruiter working on filling the position. I hadn't really thought about working with an association before, so I am both suprised and not that my previous experience (almost 7 years of leasing) is working in my favor. I hope it all works out well.

    Congrats!  Looks like fun!

I'm not far from Playa del Carmen right now, actually.  The weather's gorgeous!  I'm headed to the pool right now for a swim before I start working.  I'm sure it'll be lovely in December - not too hot, not to cold.  Be sure to take one of the tours to check out the ruins - Chichen Itza is cool (I've been told - I'm going on Saturday, but it looks awesome) but it's landlocked, so it would be a full day trip for you.  Last time I was in Riviera Maya (south of Playa del Carmen) we went to Tulum, which was fantastic!  Really gorgeous, and right on the water so you can go to the beach while you're there.  Definitely should check it out!

I do think that Tulum and Chichen Itza looks cool and I wouldn't mind checking them out. Too bad that is not DH's idea of a good time. I think he owes me though, for last year when we decided we HAD to do an 8 hour deep sea fishing excursion in the middle of the ocean during a hurricane. Yeah that was a fun time. We could have done the 4 hour trip but no. We did ziplining the year before down there. That was a lot of fun. I want to check out Isla Mujeres.

I am super excited. 70 some days left! I will be sure to give an update after the interview.

Then take him to Tulum and skip Chichen Itza.  Since it's by the water, it might be an easier sell.  It's also a gorgeous beach - you have to walk down a stairwell on the side of a cliff to reach it.  Very pretty!  Very secluded.
