I stayed in TX all week last week after the Tough Mudder, and my only source of internet was my phone. Thus, I didn't post much, but I lurked like crazy.
Now, I'm finally back home and able to resume my PW position.
The Tough Mudder was great. I have never been so dirty in my life. Unfortunately, there aren't many pictures. Brightroom photography was out there taking professional photos along then 11-mile course, but my group ended up being one of the last to finish (we started in the last wave, and one of our teammates was particularly slow) so I think most of the photographers left before we got to them. Sad. But I do have before-and-afters.
Our team before: (notice how bright and clean our clothes are)
Aaand after (one of the last obstacles was wading through a lake, so a lot of the surface mud got washed off. The change in color of our clothes is what really shows):
And here are some pictures of random people on the course, just for an idea of what we had to do.
Crawl through mud under barbed wire:
See how the water in this picture looks a little chunky? That's ice. Coldest I've ever been.
Climb up and jump off of a 15-foot platform. Several of our team members freaked out a little at the top, but this was my favorite obstacle. I wanted to go back and do it again:
And there are lots more here:
In general, it was great and I can't wait for the opportunity to do it again.
Now, as if that wasn't enough for one post, I need everyone to
click here and see what I get to do next month! I can't wait! I'm going with my younger cousin, who is 18, completely awesome, and
almost as much a Harry Potter geek as I am. I'm already counting down days.
