Your favorite date night

Hey ladies! I'm back after a short 'need to calm down and stop being BSC' hiaitus. Mr.Owl has been working a TON recently and I want to do something fun together this weekend. This will be the first weekend he has not had to work in four weeks.

Ideas?

Our best date nights are always burgers and beer at one of our favorite bars and just laughing together while we eat and hang out. We're pretty casual, so anything that even has a hint of fancy we usually eff up and don't have as much fun. We still do fancy sometimes though.

What do you guys like to do?

we're movie watchers. we do that all the time though so i kinda wanted to mix it up.
    great idea though!

Go out to dinner.  Don't wear panties.  Accidentally open your legs too wide.

    Take it from there.

Also, a good blowjob goes a long way.

Do you have a drive-in movie theater anywhere near you? My BF doesn't like movie theaters but he does enjoy the drive-in.

Bonus is that you can bring in whatever you want to eat and drink without paying an arm and a leg for it. Just make sure you start your car about halfway through the movie for a few minutes. Last time we killed his battery :)

PS Then if you take Shoes' advice, you'll be in a darkly lit and somewhat private space. Ha.

My favorite date thus far was when we went to Painting with a Twist.  So much fun! So far they are pretty much only in the south, but there may be similar places up north.

Another favorite (although this was a girls night out, but will soon be a date) was Color Me Mine, where you get to paint ceramics.  They have locations all over:

Ditto shoes.. you will have him smirking and telling his friends for months.  They'll all be jealous ;)

You could also make his favorite dinner or surprise him with something you think he'd really love.

Just off the top of my head here....

    1.) Have a picnic indoors
2.) Go bowling and be kids again. Granny-style is making a come back!
3.) Go to a Jazz club for drinks and some soulful tunes
4.) Go to your local batting cages and take a few swings
5.) Find a coffee bar that offers free dance lessons (many around here do that)
6.) Walk around an art gallery - no museum entry fees and you can find some interesting stuff
7.) Get dolled up and go to a wine bar just for drinks. (BF and I hardly ever go out for just drinks...kind of like "newly dating" again!)
8.) Go to a pet shop and play with the puppies/kitties
9.) Go roller skating! I haven't done that in years...
10.) Head to local town close by that you don't visit all the time and be tourists.

BF and I just went on a midweek date night to dinner (Taco Mac because BF is a beer nut) and a pool hall. We exchanged dirty bets. Out of three games I won 1 and he won 2. I ended up pretty preoccupied on the ride homeTongue out and having to watch Dune this morning. He still owes me one, though.

That was a great spontaneous midweek date night for us, but BF's birthday is coming up and I've been thinking of doing something a little adventurous. I've been looking at ziplining on a saturday or sunday. I've always wanted to do it, there are a couple of places that do it in the metro Atlanta area, it's not particularly expensive and it seems like a fun thing for half a day. If you want to get out of the house that would be fun. Hell, we've been talking about going to six flags, too! But we love roller coasters.

Allusive's date night ideas revised for Shoes' approval:

1.) Take a steamy shower together
2.) Cook a meal for your guy while in the nude. (add heels if you like)
3.) Make yourself into a Sundae, whipped cream with a cherry on top
4.) Have a movie night - just not with a movie you can get at Blockbuster if you know what I mean...
5.) Go out to dinner wearing a dress that is partially see-through, sans slip
6.) Go for a drive and find a place to park it for a while
7.) Go out to the movies and get a little grabby during the hot scenes
8.) Take a boudoir pic of yourself and place it in his wallet. When he goes to pay, he'll know what's for dessert.
9.) Leave your lingerie on the bed with a note that says to meet you on the deck
10.) Write a very naughty note and slip it to him while out with friends. Trust me, he'll get the message.

Shoes and Allusive.  I like where this conversation is going.

Go dancing!  (if you like to dance) I don't know if you live in the city but drive somewhere where you can see the stars.  I love doing that.  You can just sit and talk and enjoy nature.  :)

This. BF and I loved to go to the drive in together. We would bring some KFC and six pack and see a double feature. But then they closed the last local drive in about 3 years ago...we have yet to find anything as 'us', though I keep pushing the idea of bowling.

I think they have pretty cute date ideas.

Andrew and I have the most fun when we pick a city- or a direction- and then just drive. We end up doing the most amazing things! It's a real adventure!

I think it was sunbird who once offered up the idea of a themed dinner night? I think I remember her talking about how once she cooked her FI a stir-fry dinner while wearing a geisha costume and then watched a movie to go with the theme. I like that idea! Like, for Italian: cook up some spaghetti and meatballs or chicken piccata, have some good Italian wine, cappucinos with biscotti or cannoli for dessert and watch Life is Beautiful (or any other Italian movie, but that was the first one that came to mind).

Our favorite date nights are ordering in dinner and watching a movie either we've never seen before, or one that I think he needs to watch (I'm a cinephile and he's...well, not). We don't go out much cus we can't really afford to, so we make due at home.

Also, I'm sure you can find some great things to do or places to go on livingsocial.com - they have awesome coupons!

I'm a geek so I love to go to an arcade and then pizza and beer.

How about bowling? Or go to Dave and Buster's or GameWorks? Mini-golf? A boat ride? Museum? Picnic?
