WR - Squee moment!

Today I headed into Birmingham and stopped by the Galleria and the Helzberg Jeweler's store (the chain that FI bought my engagement ring and his wedding band from) and I found a wedding band that I loved! It was a wee bit out of my price range, but since I was able to cut costs in another area, it wasn't too much of a deal.

While I was paying, the lady working there asked me "Would you like us to go ahead and put you in the computer as Cecilia [FI's last name] for future reference?" It felt SOOOOO freakin' weird to hear my name like that, but I said "sure".

Now I have a receipt with my name and FI's last name in HUGE bold letters. XDD I squealed.

Pix plz. I remember it sounding weird too when being called H's last name for the first time. I mean, not weird, weird. You know what I mean.

AWESOME!  Whoot.  I know what you mean auntie.  Yesterday I registared with my future college and it wanted me to create my user name as Rlast name but instead I but R FI's last name.  It was so weird but cool!!

It does feel super weird! We received a few Christmas cards addressed to Jordan and Tyler FISLASTNAME. Which is super weird considering we're not married yet and one of those people was a wedding vendor hahah. But it felt good.

That is exciting and weird at the same time. I haven't fully decided if I'm going to take FI's name yet, but I probably will. It's so weird even thinking about it.

FI's family did this to us too!

We registered at Macy's this weekend and the lady who set it up put all gifts to the attention of MR. & MRS. FI's LAST NAME.

I didn't think to take any pictures, but they have to order mine. All the rings they have on display are size 7s (I wear a 4.5), so mine should be in in about 7-10 days, but it's a white gold, channel set ring. 1/4 karat.

It kinda looks like this, only white gold:

I promise I'll take pics as soon as I get it in. I don't know why I didn't think to take any.

I remember when we found our wedding bands... it felt so good. They are perfect. I wish you could have taken some pictures! But from what you posted it looks beautiful. 

I haven't heard my name yet with FI's last name. I definitely would squee if I heard it.

How long did it take before you could just write your name without having to remember to change your last name to his? Or was that part pretty easy? I've been wondering off and on how many times I'll mess up and sign my maiden name after we're married, lol.

My full name has a grand total of 6 Ls in it, so my signature is this long series of loops that my patients make fun of constantly. I bet that whenever we get married, I'll go a solid three months trying to sign my old signature because I sign things at least three or four times a day :|.

How exciting! We've picked out what we want, but haven't made a purchase yet. I want something similar to yours, or pave set... but in a 1mm (teeny) band.
