Camping Trip (PIP)

So the trip was amazing, We went on an amazing bike ride, wine/BBQ tour around one of the finger lakes. We had great food and a really nice time. However, no ring. I think I let my friends and family kind of talk it up to me so the first night I was a little confused. BF and I had a really good conversation about everything. He just wants it to be really special and he wants time to save up for my "perfect ring". I told him that is not important to me but he said it is important to him. So no engagement but still an incredible trip and we had a really great talk about everything. I know it will happen sometime this summer and thanks to everyone's great advice on here I have chilled out and am just going to enjoy  my BF. He is amazing!

I'm so glad you had a great trip, and really happy you aren't disappointed.  It'll happen!!!  Your post last week actually inspired me to have a similar talk with my BF, so I know how nice it is to have an idea what his priorities and timeline look like.

Looking forward to hearing when he DOES ask you!!!

I'm glad you had fun on your trip and its good you have a positive attitude about your BF not proposing. And its good you had an adult conversation with him about it instead of freaking out like some girls do.

Bakes, I'm so happy to hear that you managed to enjoy your trip! I know how sometimes the idea of a proposal gets caught in your head and it can be so hard to root it out. But it sounds like after your talk, you were able to set it aside and just enjoy your time with your BF. Which is wonderful! :) Just be secure in your knowledge that your BF is looking to the future and enjoy your life with him in the meantime. :)

I'm so glad you had such a good trip! Ring or no ring, you're already making plenty of memories. :)

I had it in my head that BF would propose at the dave matthews concert in July. It's three days after my birthday too. I don't know how the idea got there. I might have been daydreaming about it or he might have nudged the idea into my head. He tends to do that.  Recently we were talking and he was just like "nope, not then. definitely not then. I want to talk to your dad first and I don't think I can do it by then."  So now I'm trying to just look forward to an awesome concert (which I was totally psyched about before, so it probably won't be too difficult).

I've been to 3 Dave concerts and loved them all!  You always end up with a cool story after a Dave concert.

One was in high school, and we ended up grilling in the parking lot after to wait out the traffic, and some guy who was ridiculously stoned came over and asked to grill something on our grill.  He then reached into the bag of charcoal and started to eat it, spitting it out and saying, "I thought it was chips!" with charcoal all over his face.

Second one was for high school graduation - parents got us a limo, which was super fun.

Third was with a college friend at Hersey Park - we rented a car somewhat illegally (I was 20 at the time, and they had a policy you had to be 21.  But I was born in December, so people see the year and assume I'm older... yeah, I didn't correct them).  We had a great weekend at the concert, buying liquor with our fake ID's, and then going to the park the next day.

*Sigh* I miss Dave concerts.  Have fun!!!

Bakes, I'm so glad that you had a great time despite not getting engaged.  BF and I have had a couple of talks about the future in recent months that could have easily been a proposal if he wasn't set on getting the ring first.  Those talks are the best ever aren't they?!

As for Dave, BF and I saw them for the first time here on the 15th.... AWESOME!  Dave will not dissapoint!
