LoL, my BFF posted that on my FB saying I should do that for our entrance.  Though I'm leaning more towards Jack Johnson or a Hawaiian quartet. For a fellow friend's wedding she walked down the aisle to the theme song of Star wars.  She was a Star wars nerd and her hubby indulged her.

I LOVE "Fields of Gold" the way she does it though - and honestly the song isn't a sad one to me. For some reason it just clicked for me when I heard her version. Then again I used her "Songbird" version as my first dance song last time.

We are pretty set on "Stay With You" for the first dance - I think "Beautiful One" will be the last dance, maybe? Eh, I don't know, I'm slacking!

I say do whatever feels right for you and Mike. We might think that it is sad, but if you like it then go for it! I really like "Stay With You" for a first dance and trying to work in the other song somewhere else.

Here's what I've been doing... when I feel the urge to look something up wedding related, I start planning something else instead.

So far, I've got my family's trip to Costa Rica for October all planned out.  We've got a house to rent, activities reviewed and organized on a list (complete with estimated costs), rental car found, flights perused, etc.  Now all I need is BF's academic calendar for the fall term so I can book the hotel, then start looking for cheap flights, and then reserve the car!  So real life planning has been put on hold, so I started thinking up other things...

I also have a hypothetical trip for BF and me for a long weekend this spring (dates TBD) to Guatamala.  With different trip routes and hotels and activities, along with estimated costs.

Or an all-inclusive in Mexico.  I have a chart of all the all-inclusives I'd consider, broken down by cost and rating, the best flight options, and in sequential order according to costs, and in another chart in sequential order according to rating and preference.

Someone needs to find me a job as a travel agent asap since this clearly is an obsession of mine.

Okay, yes you are a little premature, but I don't see any harm in making notes of music you love. I'm terrible at remembering songs on the spot, so I also started a list of songs I liked before I was engaged.

It's so much easier to give regs a little slack on stuff like this, b/c after months of posting, we KNOW you're not really BSC.
