 Not gonna lie I only did a quick search, but I noticed you were calling your SO BF.  How is everything with you guys?  Last I recall you were thinking you might be getting engaged, married and thinking about a baby?  Can I get an update on your life?

We've had a CRAZY year. We moved from NKY to Kansas. We were only there for 5 months (thank god). Now we're out in Colorado. It's awesome. We bought a house (yes, appropriate legal documents in place, for those about to jump on me for buying a house with a bf - it's a business transaction).

We still aren't engaged yet. We've just been busy with other stuff. (BF broke his hand in Kansas, screwing up our schedules for awhile. I just broke my foot here in CO, screwing up our lives again.) So our priorities have been elsewhere. We'll get around to it. We're still likely to have a very short engagement and either elope or do a very-hard-to-get-to destination wedding. (My family sucks. His family is very small.)

Babies are unlikely. We aren't getting any younger and I'm just not sure we're "kid" people. We have a pooch who is spoiled rotten. We're both pretty career focused At this point that ship might have sailed. Which is fine with our pup. She doesn't like to share our attention. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

So really, aside from the giant cast on my foot and stupid crutches, I couldn't ask for more! We're having fun in our new home. My business is still going well. Bf's new job is pretty good. All is well!

That is all great news, I think I left TK when you were still adjusting to Kansas.  CO is awesome, my cousin lived there for a while and BF's aunt just moved back from there.  I'm glad to hear that you guys are happy and all is well, besides your foot!  I know you weren't dead set on kiddos anyways, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with not having them, it's admirable that you guys are wise enough to think about it and do what you want, not what you think is the norm or what someone else would like to see you do.  Also, glad that you were smart with your house buying, not that I'm surprised you have always come across as a very level-headed person, at least on the interwebz!

Thanks for sharing and getting me up to speed...hope your foot feels better sooner than later!

Paint- So sorry to hear about your broken foot! I imagine you're on the front range somewhere. Let me know if I can help with anything or if you just want to meet for a pumpkin spice latte! I can imagine having a big cast would be a pain.

When do you get it off?

Hey thanks Lunar! That's very kind of you. You posted a pic recently and I SWEAR I've been there before. (It looked like one of the trails/parks right off of I-25.) We're between Denver and Co. Springs. (Is that still considered the Front Range? We're so new and pathetic.)

I had been in a walking boot for 5 weeks. It wasn't healing so now I'm in a hard cast with crutches for 4-8 weeks. Oy vey...

I will probably stick around, as time allows. (Work has been slow but will pick up next week.) It seems like a lot of the crazies are gone.

Considering there are very few places between Colorado Springs and Denver- I could probably guess where you are, but I don't want to out you. ;)

How long have you been in CO again? What do you think? I moved here in June and about a week later Allusive and I met in Castle Rock to see a movie! It was much fun! Perhaps we all can meetup and see a movie again!

Lunar - We're kind of ... no where. But probably not too far from where you think! Actually we're kind of far from everywhere. Nearest grocery - 30 minutes. Don't ask how we found the place. We don't even know.

I L-O-V-E Colorado. I don't know what took me so long to get here. I was totally opposed to living west of the Mississippi. But this place is awesome. It would be way cooler if I could run the trails and hike with my bf and pup, but it will be cool next spring when my foot is healed.

I've been to the Old Stone Church. Really cool atmosphere (neat bar attached), good food, only ok service, but i was there for lunch. Maybe they step up their game for dinner.

What/where is Crave Burger? I haven't heard of that one.

Crave burger is totally think place that has dreamy burgers. I kinda feel like a glutton when I go there. LOL.

The train is also going to stop a bit in Castle Rock. Now I'm going to be tempted to go up to everyone in a walking boot in Palmer Lake on Sunday and say..."Hi- Are you Paint?!" I doubt there will be many people in a walking boot though. LOL
